What hell? Are you kidding?????? WHY THE HELL NOT?
I have probably bought nearly 100 firearms either through gun dealer direct sales or gunbroker. You do realize, don't you, that such weapons must be sent to someone with a FFL and then a full background check is done when you pick up the weapon from the shop with the FFL. Those individuals who have thier own FFLs go through fairly extensive hoops to secure and maintain that license.
Not likely. The very anti-gun people that panic and FUD the most are the most ignorant of the current laws. Probably heard on BSNBC that you can "buy gunz on the innerwebie". Or heard it from a lying politician.
So say the people with the least knowledge of the current laws.
If the OP would have even bothered to read the page about applicable gun laws, this thread would cease to occupy 1s and 0s on the interwebs. But, no. A perfect example of someone who would prefer to jump to a conclusion without actually reading. Don't we hear this cry from the left day in and day out? I guess impatience and foolishness are on both sides of the aisle. Who would have thunk it?
How in Allah's name can the federal government allow people to have guns sent to their homes withoutso much as a background check, or even a face to face contact between buyer and seller?
Everybody, from the most determined Mother who demands action, to the 50 gun arsenal owning... "enthusiast" for lack of a more polite term... should agree that this is a horrible idea.
Not only can you buy them online, you can buy a 3D printer that will print guns. I'm not sure how safe they are but you can print them.

Please, try and buy a gun from any of those sites. You'll see that you have to buy the gun, then it is shipped to an FFA dealer of your choosing, who won't release it until you pass a BG check at the end of a waiting period.
Your outrage is over something that doesn't exist.
Personally, it is still shocking that any civilized nation allows its people to buy military weaponry online, even with a background check... but for the intents of this thread, I'll admit you are right.
Just keep digging. You might have a little further to go.

Curious how you equate civilized with disarmed?
Id say its private ownership of firearms that keeps governments from completely enslaving us.
Why not?
There is a backround check and can only go through a FFL same as a shop.
How does the weapon get from the FFL to the purchaser?
By the way, but didn't Lee Harvey Oswald buy the gun he used to kill President Kennedy through a mail order ad and have it sent to a rented P.O. box?
I know that was a long time ago and there was no internet in those days.
