The entire topic is centered around the idea that low income people don't have enough skin in the game and have it too easy. Meanwhile it should be obvious that scraping together money for rent, food, student loans, etc is where that income often goes. Now we need to make it more difficult on low income by increasing their tax load? Why?
Also, much of the phrasing seems to invoke punitive motives for increasing taxes on low incomes.
Another thing is that most people went through a time in their lives when they were younger, didn't earn much and didn't have to pay income taxes. Waiting tables, working amusement parks, temporary jobs for the young. Removing that tax exemption would basically be removing yet another advantage that younger generations wouldn't get to use.
If I am going to work every day to make $100k then no I am not rich. If I receive a cash flow of $100k a year without working then yes I am doing pretty damn good if not rich.
While the two concepts often go hand in hand, using the terms interchangeably is misleading and oh how Obama and Democrats mislead you. America’s most wealthy individuals don’t necessarily draw the highest levels of income.
Income as the amount of money someone receives on a regular basis, while wealth is the length of time that person could maintain their current lifestyle without going to work.
You O supporters think that someone who works for W2 income and makes $100k is wealthy lol, wow! especially not after the government takes their cut. W2 income is the worst kind of income. You want "wealth" that produces cash flow without you having to go to work. What you O supporters did was hurt people making W2 income, in other words people WORKING for their income, the rich who have more control over their money and made changes. Sure people with wealth will make income that pay taxes on it but not like the W2 worker.
By the time the government gets their grab it gets harder to build your wealth but ya go ahead and think it's good to pay more and more taxes then wonder why you can't climb out of the rat hole.
That's not even a thing! VERY few people just get "free money". Jesus, you're the most delusional person on this forum.
Easy solution - end welfare and gov't approved suckling on the taxpayer teat..
