There is no excuse for this. He was driving around in a big heavy vehicle where a mishap is likely to have disastrous consequences, and it did. He rear-ended a lady driving a Lexus LS, pushing her into the oncoming traffic, where she was fatal struck by another heavy vehicle, a Hummer. Incredible.
I don't think it's a good enough excuse or justification to be distracted by the paparazzi. A human life was taken because of is irresponsible actions.
Jenner rear-ended the white car and pushed it into incoming traffic.
The "moment of impact" photos were taken from the shoulder on the other side (ocean side) of the street - by the dashcam of a car pulling out or by a photographer. Not a spot where a paparazi would wait.
I hate the paps, but Bruce is to blame. Were the paps chasing him with guns and knives threatening his life? No and so he should have obeyed traffic laws and watched the road ahead. If he felt the paps were driving in a dangerous or aggressive manner he should have pulled off the road and called police for help.
It's actually not that simple. People have been complaining about this for years, and certain celebrities have tried to get a law passed. This is not the first time aggressive paps have been accused of causing an accident.
Apparently they are known to drive rather recklessly, in cars and on bikes, getting dangerously close, weaving in and out of traffic, jumping in front of a celeb's car and slowing down... etc. They can surround a car on all sides and behave like crazies. More than one person has told of feeling scared the paps would cause an accident (think Princess Diana) and doing anything to get away from them, especially if they have their children in the car. Not not mention being blinded by flashes going off or being distracted by NOT to hit the fools coming at you from all directions.
I'm not saying that's exactly what happened here (we don't have all the facts yet) but it's often not as simple as "just pulling over" and it can be VERY easy to find it hard to drive when you have to do it defensively under those circumstances.
Jenner's fault. If he doesn't want paparazzi attention, then he needs to get out of the spotlight. What an idiot he is to take another person's life like this.
I disagree with the bolded statement. His ex-wife allegedly has a group of paparazzi guys on a payroll (learned from someone who used to work for the family). When it's several paps following someone, it's because they were called. She allegedly owns part of TMZ (as well as several other gossip sites and tabloids).
Celebrities don't like papparazi? Don't believe that for a second, they both need and love them. Accidents happen, so I won't condemn Jenner for that but he is at fault. If he was texting, then he should be criminally charged.
It is both of their faults the papparazi and Jenner . My God these kartrashians destroy anyone who gets near them , those people all of them need to go into obsecurity and leave the rest of the world alone . Jeeze these people are a mess and have made a mess out of their lives and now they have managed to take someone elses life . Bless this poor womans family and I hope they sue Jenner and the kartrashians for all they are worth ...Im sick of this freak show indeed .
