A couple years ago I went to a demo-derby... and there in line was a black gal with a rebel flag purse. Now this was a high school kid in the lily-white Midwest... so I can guess at a few sad scenarios that'd lead her to that. Wouldn't be right to hate on her for it... but I kinda feel sorry for the gal.

But fundamentally it's not THAT different that working-class white guys voting for the interests of billionaires. There's a sucker born every minute I'm told.

Same kind of thing with anglo white women hanging out with Black people, do you feel sorry for them? I don't. It's their choice.

She has the right to support whom ever she likes. Even if she doesn't understand the serious consequences of her choice.

One tweet from one person and Fox News makes it about the entire Democratic party.

This is the caliber of information one would expect from catty middle-schoolers.

(I took it to the next level of thought for ya.)

The tweet was probably sent by Fox News so that they could make a "news" story out of it. Otherwise, how on earth did Fox News find this person? LOL!

Another question is: why is Fox News against free speech as expressed in a tweet?

Excellent points.

Any way, as others have noted, she's gotten her 15 minutes.

Can't wait to see who is next up on the 'poor widdle me" hit parade.

It's yet another illustration of the binary thinking that is so prevalent today.
It's not a left, right, liberal or conservative thing - people seem to have lost the ability to understand nuance or to differentiate between one set of circumstances and another.
It's why we get stupid articles from the NY Times like the one calling those that are against GMOs "anti-science."

Some people want this young lady to be representative of something and they need her detractors to be representative of something else as if one example of anything could ever be wholly representative.
Lazy thinking at its finest.

Why would that be something to feel sorry for?

Nope. My post was to turkey-head over HE "feeling bad" over a Black lady with a Rebel flag on her purse at a demo derby. It was that lady's choice so who am I to judge?
