I stand corrected, and am glad to know it. I believe that input from black cultural figures is key to remedying the vicious black vs. white circle in which America finds itself. Every bit as important as a justice system that does not tolerate abuse of force by police.

You're making it seem like black people beating up white people is some kind of trend. A black person could have easily been the victim.
He should have ignored the guy and kept walking while getting ready to defend himself. When I see a group of young blacks hanging around, I'm on guard but then again, I grew up in a majority black community. My son is attending university in the South and doesn't go anywhere (except school and places where weapons are illegal) without his gun and knife.
Unfortunately, walking away would not have helped the victim in my link, a weapon though...

It is not my intention to make it seem like only black people engage in group violence. Anybody who reads/watches the news, or takes the time to do a little internet research can see that it is not so.
My point is that while white popular culture, mainstream white public figures, etc do not promote a posture of racism, civil disobedience, and lawlessness, it has been my impression that the same is not entirely true of popular black culture and public figures in the U.S.
In addition, it not surprising that members of an economically disadvantaged group will view themselves as outsiders in a prosperous society, but it seems like the "let's riot" response of the black community to perceived harms is excused or accepted by middle class blacks and their leaders, and that only tends to reinforce the perception that "they're all the same."

So I guess I deserve to be stereotyped because I'm black, despite the fact that I went to college, have a white collar job, dress appropriately, am not loud, boisterous and vulgure, have well-mannered kids...
Any adult should be able to distinguish a black man vs a black thug.
Why should you be nervous simply because I'm next to you in the store with my black kids?
tell us what characteristics you see in these 3 men that let you know they're black thugs.
