I have a feeling that flag will be a top seller if they take it down.

Now this is the whole root of the issue right here, you are all just making false assumptions and arguing against them.

You see a confederate flag sticker on a pickup truck and you put this huge meaning behind it and get all offended by it and randomly decide the person put it there because he is racist or something. when in reality the confederate flag is just a way to symbolize "rednecks"

Lightbulb How are we still having conversations about moving past race when the Confederate flag still flies proudly?

The confederate flag is still a useful little knick-knack. It allows racists to proudly self-identify in public.

You notice them? Thats the point. Now imagine you replace those piecesnof fabric with another: those with Swastikas, and this confederate flag while the mere fabric that just got replaced, the US flag, is being burnt.

Would it change your perspective? Agreement or disagreement with those people? Business as usual for you?

Actually, this one is a victim. One represents has uts origin in treason and loved and promoted by white supremacists. The other traces its history back to wanting its own governance to now, adored by those who want to throw out government and run by corporations (a 180-degree turn from its original intent, like the tea party itself).

Who do you think those people would be? Flying pieces of fabric. Don't dwell on that but on how if anything, changes your perspective.

I think most people were not aware that the Confederate flag actually was on the Capitol grounds of South Carolina. The tragic shooting brought this out in full light for the world to see, it was an embarrassment for the state of South Carolina. The flag will go

Interesting you should refer to swastikas, a Hindu symbol of good luck, that was perverted by association with the National Socialist Worker's Party of Germany.

Which should prevail? The original meaning or the latter?

SWASTIKA :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
The swastika (also known as the gammadion cross, cross cramponnée, or manji) (as a Chinese character: 卐 or 卍) is a symbol that generally takes the form of an equilateral cross, with its four legs bent at 90 degrees. It is considered to be a sacred and auspicious symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
So are Hindus and Buddhist and Jains to be associated with NAZI Germany when they use the swastika?
. . .
Just because some racists picked up the Confederate Battle flag and made it a symbol of their racism, doesn't make it so. And just because some people associate the flag with racism, doesn't make it so.
