JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A TOOL DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN USE IT AT WILL. Quit hiding behind your badge. There is a reason they are mandating cameras...too many pigs wanting to play tough guy. Let me guess...you meant to grab your mace officer DuBose. DISGUSTING.

You get what you get because you are who you are.
" DISGUSTING." is the BEST description of your juvinile post.

"Ninja" right. Do you post from mommy's basement?

It's amazing. We see a video of a cop do something completely unjustified( whether it was stupidity, disregard for human life or panic or all of the above) and all the haters and racists see is " white cop kills black man". Thank God the rest of us can look past race and discuss this case on the higher level it deserves.
I've said before " Idiots collide with tragedy where normal people would have avoided trouble." That goes for this case. You had a gung ho cop throwing his weight around who went out of his way to pull someone over, albeit legitimately. The driver makes a move to drive off and it clicks in this cops head that that is an aggressive threatening move and he's all to eager to shoot. Stupiditiy, poor training, panic, bloodlust. The first three are the most likely, the fourth is less so and harder to prove unless something in his service record turns up. What is harder still to prove, and hasn't had any evidence of happening is racism on the part of the cop. but again, the haters jumped right to that first.
Now the dead man WAS an idiot. He shares some of the blame but he didn't deserve to be shot. Driving away because he had no insurance or a valid license at best rates him a rap upside his empty noggin or a taser to his groin. Maybe a police dog chowing down on him if he led the police on a high speed chase and endangered others. I'd say with his police record and 10 kids he deserved a rap upside his empty noggin even if he wasn't pulled over.
Idiots who think the law doesn't apply to them and who have concept of how to act get into confrontations with like minded people who happen to wear uniforms or hold office. Its hard to pick a side.

I make NO judgement in this case.

It is a shame to many cop haters on this thread DON'T do the SAME thing.

How many stories do we have on here about an indecent and the cop haters go bonkers and convict the cop BEFORE ALL facts are in? Ferguson and other recent stories come to mind.

Are the tickets upheld by the law?

YOU break a law and are caught and you call the police officer who gave you the ticket the "ahole"

What is wrong with this picture?

It LOOKS like it is YOU who has a problem with obeying the law and with authority!

I agree, their is a superficial bias against police officers and their jobs. These people seek the little things in order to bring a cop to 'justice'. Their is a preconceived bias that cops are inheritably racist against African Americans. It's never polite to generalize a group of people in a category because it becomes a false statement. The biggest fallacy of all is comparing one case to another. 'Freddie Grey was killed in this manner, so this case must be the same...'

This particular case was caught on video and he will have to explain himself. The video does not look good for this officer but he is by law, entitled to due process. But instead of calling the case as a serious police mishap, we assume it fits under the umbrella of racist police officers who feel they need to end their lives because they do not like someone.

same thing as the white cop in south carolina with walter scott if the video wasn't shown.
"Black lives matter" Remember that?

But to attempt to pull him from the car without reason and to draw and fire and then LIE about being dragged by the car?

This cop had a very good record with commendations. It's hard to fathom why he did what he did.
You sure are assuming a lot of things not yet proven.

What you call standard courtroom procedure is exactly the opposite of what I was instructed while on jury duty (New York 10 years ago). We were told the officers testimony did not carry more weight than the accused.

Sad, but until cops can be shown to actually be honest - their word should mean nothing.
What does the dishonesty of one person in a group have to do with others in that group? There will always be some dishonest cops.

We see now with so much video that people like this will be quickly caught. You post the video on the news and someone turns them in. You don't shoot them.
He had the name the guy with no ID gave him . Very easily could have been a stolen car. Not that that justifies the shooting.

He had his face on video. Not too difficult to figure out who he was.
