I do not smoke pot & have only tried it once when I was 19. Although it wasn't for me I believe we should focus on the drugs that we KNOW are killing people. I have never been robbed, beaten or had my car totaled by someone who smokes pot. I cannot say the same about the other drugs.
I lost my child to heroin. I would gladly allow him to smoke pot everyday if he were here.
My father was an alcoholic and beat the hell out of me and my mom. I do not drink or do any drugs because of what I witnessed as a child. It still haunts me to this day and I have to remind myself that not everyone that drinks is a bad person.
Sorry to hear that. Maybe if he had a legal alternative such as marijuana, the story would have turned out differently?
Regarding your friend, there's no excuse for getting high at work and the edibles are a different animal. I'd advise no one to use edibles unless they follow the dosing instructions very carefully. You're not going to die from eating too much, but it's fairly easy to go overboard and get whacked out. Stick to the tried and true smoke and you'll be fine. A puff or two is all you need, moderation is the key...

I've used edibles and it is true that it's a different kind of high. One of the problems that inexperienced people have with edibles is that it doesn't hit you right away. It can take an hour or more before you start to feel the effect, and if you are used to the immediate effect you get with smoking, you might eat more thinking it's not working. And then it hits you all at once. And it can be overwhelming if you aren't ready for it and it lasts longer than a smoking high. So you're right, you need to follow the dosing instructions carefully.

most people that smoke pot aren't bad people too.. I've seen booze wreck a lot of lives, my bro was one of then. but I don't rag on all the boozers!!!! most drink responsibly..
You're the one that looks stupid. Go smoke a joint, life must really suck for you that you need to be high to get by.
I don't use cannabis.
