That's because there weren't any armed people at those mass shootings.

Illegal for the decent average American with no criminal history, and criminals won't give a hoot about any such laws. Let's see how many criminals would be anxious to turn in their guns if such confiscation were to occur.

Yeah right.. Let's see how that will work with a president who released terrorists from Guantanamo Bay, and pardoned several criminals.

If that's the case then government shouldn't help states with natural disasters. But some states are so poor that they could never possibly rebuild without government help. You can't have it both ways. And you can't pick and choose. Do you want government involved or not.

Lock everyone up in a padded room, if we don't try every single thing we have failed our country.

People who try things that are known not to work are failures who wasted everyone's time and distorted civil rights.

I know I cannot fly, am I a failure because I have the common sense not to jump off a bridge?

Like making certain drugs illegal solved the illegal drug problem in due course? Like that?

How does it waste your time. If saving a few lives...even one... goes against our civil rights, isn't it worth it. Aren't lives more important. Tell me, how many lives have you saved by owing guns.

Liberty is more important.

Ban all cars, it is saves one life
Ban all swing pools, if it saves one life
Ban prescription medicine, if it saves one life
Ban air travel, it is saves one life.
Ban electricity, it is saves one life

I have saved as many lives as I have taken.

Sorry, your analogies don't work. Guns have one purpose....to kill. Those you mentioned don't.

Guns have no purpose, only a user has a purpose.

Guns are used millions of times a year to protect individuals from attackers. Why do you want women, seniors and the disabled to not be able to protect themselves from stronger attackers?
