I'll ask you this, did the delivery of health care in the country need fixing? If you say no than what is there to talk about? If yes, than what would you have done other than move a few into welfare, in which I disagree because we all know those who have absolutely nothing only qualify. Also on that note, for many before the ACA that is exactly what would happen anyway. Get sick, lose job, lose coverage, lose assets, go completely broke, collect welfare...........However, I do agree the ACA sucks. In time it will fail for the same reason the old system failed, because it is the same old system on steroids.
The reasons WHY policies are so dam expensive needed to be fixed. ACA does NOTHING to address this fact, in fact it contributes to making it far more expensive for those who have to pay for it either through higher deductibles or premiums.
The poor don't pay taxes? I bet they even have refrigerators! Leeches!
The problem is that Republicans want most of the burden to be on the poor and middle class, the people least likely to be able to handle that. Again, I am not saying that the tax structure in some of these places is the way to go, but you're selling the idea that America is so completely dumb that it is unable to figure out how to create a working health care system that doesn't screw over the lower and middle classes. Nonsense.
You can ridicule the fact that services need to be paid for but that doesnt make people like doctors etc work for free.

All of those other nations have a recessive tax structure that we dont follow. The whole idea that the poor would suddenly start to pay taxes so they can have UHC is ridiculous and unworkable since everytime someone suggests the segment of society who uses the services pay for them, the left whine like crying little babies, ever things like $6 a month birth control costs..
Exactly. They want it, but are unwilling to pay for it, unlike everyone else in all the other 1st world countries who DO pay. It's sickening how entitled they feel without accepting the need to contribute.

Travel insurance is needed. Have you picked up insurance here in the US yet? However, I've heard Mexico's healthcare is not that good, neither is China. However, the US can do much better than those two nations, instead I think we rank up there around 37th place in suckiness.

It seems to be working for you just fine. If you are uncomfortable with other people paying higher fees so you can have insurance, then find a plan elsewhere. Otherwise, you are simply an enormous hypocrite.

I'm not 5, and while I might benefit from programs into place, this doesnt mean it doesnt come at someone elses expense. Not acknowledging that, would be hypocritical.. I'm far more than willing to state it because its the truth..

Interesting theory, but just for the sake of argument, I would love to hear the recordings of the liberal cabal plotting to keep millions in poverty, and how that in no way contradicts them supporting all of the safety nets that Republicans work hard to destroy.

You're not looking at the bigger picture. Why have medicare, medicaid, Indian Health? Reinvent medicare, ditch the rest, ditch the multitudes of coding, control costs. And no, the private for-profit sector in delivering health care in this nations is the worst in all modern first world countries by far and getting worse.
