I'm not sure what this means and why people keep saying it.

The percentage of minorities who vote for Democrats dwarfs those who vote for Republicans. That's the statistic that matters.

Did you even read the thread title?

What is this board's obsession with an ethnic group that makes up less than 15% of the country's population? It has to get old...

The OP has multiple posts asking questions of or about black people. Obviously their feelings are a big concern to him/her.

This is one of the smartest things I've ever read on City Data! Well said. And very true.

Dems do seem to always want to remind everyone about the differences between black and white while Repubs say "Ok, the skin color is different....great....now, let's get on with the business".

Dems seem to look for excuses for blacks while Repubs seem to say "quit making excuses, take responsibility for your own success or failures"

I'm the OP, and my question is more the treating black people as one big collective voting because people seem to think they all think the same.

I disagree.

Because people act as if minority groups alone can get Democratic candidates elected.

Obviously. The reason of this thread is to find out why from the feedback of other posters.

3. Yeah I read the thread title (as well as the first post), but you obviously didn't read the first page or you would've seen my response to the question in the OP.

Democrats don't do much to help African Americans, but at least they so deluded to believe -or at least pretend- that racism isn't still pervasive.
