Kalamazoo and maybe somewhere nearer you, not that you care. From the Washington Post:

"ON SATURDAY, it was Kalamazoo, Mich. A gunman shot six people to death. Police said he randomly selected his victims as they went about the ordinary business of a winter weekend.

On Sunday, it was Hazelwood, Mo., where a gunman killed a 37-year-old mother as she rode in her car.

And Yazoo City, Miss., where a 25-year-old man in a nightclub was shot in the chest and died.

And Merrillville, Ind., where a relative murdered a husband and wife in their 60s and then turned the gun on himself.

And near Houston, where a 17-year-old murdered a 25-year-old, apparently a rival in love, and then shot himself in the head.

All that is far from a complete accounting of the people killed or injured in gun violence in the United States over the weekend."

No love for guns? Maybe not, but they sure are handy in our country's cult of death for anything or anyone that annoys us. Guns are just SO handy.

Please provide one example that if we ban guns, all these problems would go away. You can't.

And maybe, just maybe, -- there is a high-placed clique of "progressives" who would like to render them "not so handy" when the folks who gave us Obama decide to tighten the screws on anyone who doesn't see things their way. Better the dummies we know than the devils we don't.

And yet, the UK banned guns and limited buying knives to only those over 18 and averages 59,000 stabbings a year. You are not going to stop killers. All you would do is keep the rest of us from protecting ourselves.

Don't worry! The gun enthusiasts in this forum have pledged to never go postal even though they maintain a serious gun dedication.

When was the last time you saw a non-gunlover go postal? When they go nuts they may do crazy things, but generally they do not have the firepower to do a lot a harm since they may not even know how to handle a pistol or a rifle.
Have you ever heard of serial killers? Most of them didn't use guns, look at Ted Bundy in the list, or those who used hammers and weapons other than guns to murder their victims. They didn't need to be "gunlovers" to go postal.

How long did it take for you to actually get to know MOST "gun lovers"? He'll I'm almost 80 yo and have to admit that I don't know MOST gun owners! You've been busy!

In regards to 'buying in bulk', whether it be ammo, or toilet paper; isn't it financially responsible to buy non-perishables in bulk?

Yes, for those that 'have to go there', I just equated toilet paper and ammunition. Just as the claim earlier in the thread that one with firearms and ammunition will be obsessed to use it... I am obsessed to use the former, not so much the latter, unless at the range, in a deer stand, maybe going Somali style and firing off blindly in the air to celebrate "God and Guns!' such as 4th of July, Arbor Day, Kwanzaa, and April's Fool.
