trump is claiming his poll numbers are great but....... they'd be 25points higher if not for mueller:

" Donald J. Trump‏Verified account @realDonaldTrump 16h16 hours ago

While my (our) poll numbers are good, with the Economy being the best ever, if it weren’t for the Rigged Russian Witch Hunt, they would be 25 points higher! Highly conflicted Bob Mueller & the 17 Angry Democrats are using this Phony issue to hurt us in the Midterms. No Collusion!"

More narcissist rambling. Blame everybody else for his problems. This is what he does best. Nothing is ever his fault.

"World Public Opinion, a project managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, conducted a survey of American voters that shows that Fox News viewers are significantly more misinformed than consumers of news from other sources. "

This has been going on for a long time. People sucked into Fox when the network was launched have had twenty years of disinformation. Thirty and forty year olds then would be in their fifties and sixties today.

Political strategist Roger Ailes had worked with Ronald Reagan, and it was he who suggested abandoning the Fairness Doctrine. Rupert Murdoch tapped Ailes to create the Fox News Channel.

first up, they're his poll numbers, not "ours". second, they are horrible and falling ( with the exception of rasmussen that is pretty stagnant ).

that'd highly unlikely. i haven't looked at the numbers but i think it's safe to assume the economy was in much better shape post-WWII. trump just needs to believe in absolutes to placate his ego.

i'm pretty confident that manafort believes the investigation is legit. even one of trump's own appointed judges has ruled the investigation is legit.

so he thinks the numbers are great AND they should be 25points higher? that should put them somewhere between 80-105%

OK, Bob Mueller was appointed May 17, 2017. He had not yet pulled together a staff.

On the day before, according to 538 the aggregated poll numbers show Trump at 40.6 approval with 53.4% disapproval.

That was slightly worse than April and April was slightly worse than February. Trump never once got a 50% approval rating, and his disapproval numbers topped his approval numbers right after the first week and never again were so low. Things seemed to change right around the time Trump made Spicer lie to all of us about his inauguration crowd size.

As of September 15, 2018 Trump's approval rate on 538 is 40.2% and his disapproval is at 53.6%. Almost identical to May of 2017. It's not good, it never was good, but it's not worse.

Trump is claiming that his approval should be higher by 25, so 65.7% approximately. That might be a credible claim if Trump's numbers had once been 65%, and fell after the investigation began, but that's not what happened.

There is no statistical reason to believe that Mueller has had any influence on the poll numbers, and no reason to assume that Trump could ever break 50% , much less 65%.

There does seem to be reason to believe that his poll numbers went upside down after he started making big bold lies to the American people from the white house.
