He's referring to the left dismissing electoral college vote because it elected and will re-elect Trump. Unfortunately for them, this is exactly how the framers intended things to work. The United States is not a direct democracy (the mob), it is a democratic republic. Concentrations of people cannot dictate the governance across the vast majority of the land

Many people bring up the popular vote because many Trump supporters claim he "represents" the will of the people and was given a mandate. Nothing however could be further than the truth considering Trump got almost 3 million less votes than the leading candidate.

He mentioned polls in the primaries a lot, when he was looking comparatively good compared to rivals. He used low poll numbers as a dig.

Trump saw Joe Biden's strong lead in early polling of the Democratic field this past year and immediately saw him as a threat to be dealt with. In fact, he became reckless.

Ratings are also a form of poll, he is completely focused on ratings as well when he finds it convenient, like when he wanted to strike back at Arnold Schwarzenegger and some other media personalities for some perceived slights.

Kellyanne Conway is a Republican pollster and political consultant. This work is how she became connected to Trump's campaign, and she remains close to the president.

Because they want to abolish the Electoral College so NY and CA can elect us a liberal President from now on.

Lol, what? I don’t think you even know what the electoral college is nor how many electoral votes those states have. You wouldn’t state that if you did know.

i'm not dismissing the electoral college vote.... nor am i dismissing the popular vote. since we are discussing national polls those would be better represented by the popular vote. to get a better idea of what the electoral college vote would be would require getting polls from the individual states ( if not individual districts ).

That's not how the EC works.

LOL excuse me? EC was established so every state gets a say. This isn't the United States of California and New York. Coastal loons aren't going to automatically pick my President from now on, thank you very much.

CA has 55, NY has 29 votes. I think only 5 states have more population than Los Angeles County?

That might be the oldest trick in the book, dems wanting to abolish EC. Either that or you dems shielding illegals so you'll have dem voters for life.
