Oh, also, her question, "why would God say it's wrong, what, does he talk to people?"
LOL, I cannot rep you right now or I would.
Sounds like my kid. He is 10. When he was 8, he and his classmates wrote their own play, and the plot involved all the adults in town being abducted by aliens and the kids having to take over and run things. His part in the play was that of the new "kid mayor"... and the first thing he changed as "kid mayor" was to change the laws on same sex marriage. They wrote their own lines and such... his basically was summed up by "Love is love and don't we need MORE love in the world, not less?" His peers all agreed. Eight year olds, mind you.
And it doesn't mean what you believe is right, either.
I have one big advantage... I have God on my side.
Correction, you have your God on your side. My God loves me for who I am, since, heck, He (or She) made me this way, right?
I feel sort of bad that you're not lucky enough to have a God like that.
Besides, it's old hat to play the God card. Many Christian churches accept gay marriages, and reform Jewish rabbis perform said marriages and it is part of our belief system that these marriages are every bit as valid as heterosexual ones. You gonna tell me that all one million of us are wrong too?
My opinion and mine only, it seems everybody has their own god to suit their own needs and justify themselves, I'm not a religious person but I doubt there is more than one God, it seems if you have to make one up then why bother at all, just say you don't believe and move on. If a person really believes then isn't the bible what you would go by? and if so how would anyone justify changing it to suit their needs? I'm just asking because I see folks talking about their God like theres a hundred differant Gods.

Why would you assume the bible is "the one to go by"? Really curious as to your thinking behind this. Christianity is by far not the FIRST religion and the bible certainly is not the only, or even the "original" religious text!
Is it because Christianity is the majority religion in the US and Canada (75%)? Because world wide, only about 32% of the population are Christian. Surprising? And other religions claim a longer history... who are you or I to decide that their beliefs have any more or less validity?
Furthermore, some people are of the belief that Christianity is a "made up" religion. What do you think of that?
And finally, what do you say to the idea of the plurality of God, the suggestion that there may have been GODS, and the instruction in the bible to "worship no other GODS..." (I mean, why say this if there are no other gods to worship?)? I'm no biblical scholar but it's interesting stuff and I have yet to hear a CONVINCING answer when I've asked those "in the know" about the whole "let us make man in OUR image" thing.
Genesis 1:1 refers to God as a plural Being (http://www.direct.ca/trinity/elohim.html - broken link)

Not a hundred different Gods. Merely a hundred different interpretations of the same inherently unknowable being(s).
