But in the US, it will impact the poor most and politicians will get richer.
Not if the tax is done in the same way it's done here...
Myth: The carbon tax is just a tax grab. Fact: Every dollar raised by the carbon tax is returned to individuals and businesses through tax reductions. None of the carbon tax revenue is used to fund government spending.
Since it was first introduced in 2008, the carbon tax has returned $500 million more to taxpayers in tax reductions than it has raised in revenue.
Myth: The carbon tax unfairly impacts low-income British Columbians. Fact: A major component of the personal and business income tax cuts provided as part of the revenue neutral carbon tax is the ongoing low income climate action tax credit designed to help offset the carbon tax paid by low-income individuals and families. The credit is paid quarterly along with the federal GST credit and BC HST Credit.
Christ..... That ignorance simply doesn't go away. No wonder why these threads keep happening... Folks simply aren't educated enough to talk about this.
The old " climate has changed in the past therefore, man can't change climate." Yawn.....
As opposed to your "Ahhhh!! The climate is changing!!!!"
But hey, as long as it gives you a cause to actively type about.

Just so we are clear. You can't go further than "teh climate has changed in teh past, therefore teh mankind can't change teh climate".
....speaking of actively typing about something. You choose to come in this thread and broadcast your ignorance.
No, Republicans are not the ones believing in the horse crap of "man made global warming...er climate change...er global warming...al gore warming...er...back to climate change..." Once again, the only morons who buy all the crap fed to them are liberals. Hook. Line. Sinker.
Hand over your wallet, you're going to lose it anyway.
