I think the Daily Mail might be trying to stir up stuff. Of course it's possible that the shooter is a Muslim extremist, but keep in mind that the Daily Mail operates in UK, and they're only saying it's "suspected" at this point. No mainstream American journal site is saying anything about Muslims yet. Here's the Fox News article on the event.

CNN is talking as if it is just being investigated as possible terror. MSNBC , as of now, isnt even talking of it.
