Ahhhh finally we have some good debate on the actual subject of guns! Thank you!
As for me, I'm going turkey hunting till Sun. night so I'll check back then. Yes, I'm actually going to use one of my guns the ownership of which is granted to me by our Constitution. At least if I can call in one of those stubborn birds!

Good on ya...I'm heading out into the beautiful Alaskan wilderness to go bear hunting (I just want one really nice one in my lifetime) with my 30.06. Thank God I still can do that! Have a great weekend, all!

Good luck to the both of you! I'm not doing the spring turkey thing this year & we dont have a spring bear hunt in NH where I generally chase them.
I'll be poking holes in paper come sunday with my boys though.
Life is great!

I don't hunt but I did just got a swell new recoil spring assembly for the Glock which I'll be installing tonight as well as trying out my new trigger block (that would be the 4th safety mechanism on my gun now).

We just got some specialty ammo to keep in the guns at home so I'd like to hope hubby and I will get to the range on Sunday as well. But I suspect the inlaws will be over for Mother's Day (Y'all remember Mama, people!) and alas, will foil that plan.

Enjoy, everyone! And Happy Mother's Day!

Added to the 'arsenal', finally have a .22 rifle...

I went ahead and bought the 'evil assault rifles' first, then the good for nothing but killing handguns, added in the the evil short barreled shotgun and FINALLY to the .22.

But to keep up the trend of evilness,it has a 30 round mag and an evil 'sniper scope'(any scope mounted on a firearm).

Good luck y'all who are going hunting,I sadly will be working this weekend.

Ooh, Oz, we just got a Ruger .22 two weeks ago! We're not allowed anything over 10 rounds in NJ, but we (unknowingly) bought some magazines that hold 10 rounds apiece, and I think to get around that limit, they connect 3 at a time for 30. Not sure if that's legal or not to do though...

And ours has a creepy sniper scope too.

So much fun for under $200! And the ammo is SO much cheaper!

Our next buy is a shotgun. Hubby has the throne surrounded by Gun digest and Cabela's catalogs ;-). He's fond of the Taurus Judge because of its adaptability....

Mrs oz has a Taurus .357 magnum.Stainless steel,seven shot,it is a nice revolver.

The .22 looks like brand new and hopefully I will be able to shoot it on my day off.

I would like to buy a .357 lever action rifle to go with the revolver(caliber commonality) but just tonight on the local online classifieds is a Bushmaster AR-15 for $600....

I quite like the AR I have now so it might need a friend.
