Good point except that Chicago had 411 murders in 2014 and they are already over 300 in less than 6 months....so their rate is spiraling up thanks to the efforts of Obama & BLM.
They could also discuss Detroit or St Louis, both of whom have much higher murder rates than Chicago and who would fit their white supremacist ideology due to having large amounts of black citizens.
They pick Chicago because of the president.
I hope those who may come across the thread realize this and also realize that the internet is ground zero today for white supremacist recruitment and dissemination of racist ideology.
It's the Obama thing and that the city has been rock solid Democrat for decades, heavily influenced by unions and mostly white politicians who require Union , especially the Chicago Teachers Union, support to keep their jobs.
Given the state has had the distinction of having two former governors in prison at the same time, a Republican and a Democrat, I thought it was the most corrupt place in the country. Then I learned that Louisiana holds that record based on the number of convictions.
Made me rethink the whole corruption thing. Those states that do a better job of prosecuting and convicting likely have higher so called corruption rates than states that don't prosecute and/or win.
Louisiana has alot of corruption itself. I have family members from there. New Orleans has had machine politics. The mafia was big in New Orleans. New Orleans not only has alot of corruption, it has frequently recorded the highest murder rate in the USA. In 1993, New Orleans had a murder rate of 80 murders per 100,000. This is far worse than Chicago has ever had.
The state of Louisiana has had the highest murder rate of any state many times, especially now. Louisiana has a high imprisonment rate, and the death penalty gets used.
Crime in Chicago has gone down over the last 10 years...
Gang activity increases are mostly in the Hispanic gang populations and not black gangs of the past. They are still around but not as active as they used to be.
Using your thought process, it's on a constant and steady decline and we'll soon see it get down to zero crimes/murders all by osmosis.
