Make families think and take action about family members. Set an example by putting their mothers in jail (their dad's too, if you can find them).

In order to buy a firearm, you have to own property of some sort.

We could extend that requirement to voting.

People would probably game that by owning 1" square lots, so there'd have to be a minimum value, perhaps with no mortgage attached.
Ridiculous.

I think I understand the root of the problem with liberals . they are afraid of their own.
If a person uses a gun as a force in a crime, he she and those with are all charged with a felony . if some one dies as a result of the crime they all reap the same death sentence.
A person sane or not using a gun/or any thing as a force to them self or others is performing a felony death sentence.
The insanity plea abolished .I guarantee a lot fewer crazy people.

This is almost illegible. Is sentence structure no longer taught?

What make you think that it's up to the government to do that?

Unless somebody can figure out how to get inside the heads of some 330 million people that currently live in the United States. I don't think that there's a God d**n thing that anyone or any law can do to prevent anyone that's on a suicide mission to take out as many innocent people as possible. The news media hypes up and covers these types of events for weeks on end. Which can only indoctrinate those who have a callous disregard for life and encourage copy cats. However it's good for their bottom line and advances their gun control agenda. That's all that counts.

In spite of the hard cold reality and as bad as these events are. Your chances of getting struck by lightning are greater than becoming a victim of a mass shooting. To put things into perspective since 1966 an average of 20.3 people are killed per year in a mass shooting. That's an average of 20.3 out of 330 million. Compared to an average of 51 who are killed annually by lightning.

Including that day in 1966, 1,077 people were killed in public mass shootings in the United States. • Among the victims, 162 were children and teenagers. • Thousands of survivors were left with devastating injuries, shattered families and psychological scars.

Each year, 51 people are killed and hundreds more are injured by lightning in the United States, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Two-thirds of those deaths occur while people are engaging in outdoor leisure activities, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Lightning Safety Specialist John Jensenius.

But what will certainly *help* is not indiscriminately importing in more people to this country without very thorough screening.
Which is actually irrelevant since the vast majority of mass shooters are native white americans.

Simple. Stop doing what doesn't work. Gun free zones might as well have a giant bullseye painted on them. Schools have been proven to be places where you can rack up a massive death toll before anyone can stop you because everyone is disarmed.

You put somebody who can and will shoot back in such places. In the case of schools or large places with lots of people, you put several someones. How many mass shootings have you seen carried out against police stations and gun stores? There's a reason for that. The kinds of people who shoot up schools and stores and such tend to be cowards. They will go out of their way to target places that are as defenseless as possible.

And you do need to get to the heart of what's causing people to go on shooting rampages. There's a rather huge chunk of it that is just copycatting Columbine over and over again. Why? It'll make you famous. Your name will be remembered forever. And one bad turn deserves another apparently. The media could cut that part of the motivation out immediately by simply refusing to report the name, photo or any relevant information about the shooter. Stop making them famous for being monsters. Beyond that, figure out what mental health or other issues lead to such things.
