Agreed. Not like we need officers shooting at cars that may or may not be being stolen. That's what insurance is for.

Why can't people just keep their hands off of stuff that isn't theirs? That would solve the problem entirely.

Except for the states where it is legal, that is.

i was just reading that the officer has been fired and murder charges are being considered.

The guy that was shot wasn't even the guy the call was about....the call said the guy ran off. It has been proven that the officer lied about the situation also.

I wouldn't really care if a perp stealing my car while I am sleep or away ... like someone mentioned there's always full converge insurance. In most cases I might get a better car or get out of a payment altogether depending on your loan or payments gap coverage etc....

I just want to add that if your were going to blast the perp( which I have no pitty for people who rob/steal) there's a legal way to use justified deadly force. See perp attempting to drive away in your car .. yell stop stop!! Then step in front assuming he just attempts to run you over, you can shoot him then. 100% justified

Id rather lose my car (and get it replaced with insurance) than risk getting run over. Not worth it in my eyes.

Good, but getting charged with murder doesn't mean it will stick.

That female cop in PA that shot and killed the man she pulled over for a traffic stop(he was lying on the ground with his hands behind his back handcuffed), she was charged with murder, got off and now has her job back.

A job she never should have had in the first place, as she is too nervous for this type of work.

Let's see if this actually happens.
