The US didn't hit Russian military, and Asad didn't use chemical weapons on the Syrians.
Looks like you're parroting the western lying propaganda again.
You don't recall at the start that Assad had to dispose of his chemical weapons, do you really believe that? Do you honestly disagree that he shipped out his chemical weapons?

So which is it Syria or Russia, show me your source that indicates otherwise.

The claim of direct Russian involvement in the bombing, if confirmed, would have far-reaching consequences. Earlier on Tuesday, Ban Ki-moon used his farewell address to the UN general assembly to denounce it as a “sickening, savage and apparently deliberate attack,” describing the bombers as “cowards”, and UN officials have said it is a potential war crime
Wow! Your sources of information have already degraded from the US media to Al Jazeera? It only shows that you couldn't find this sort of BS in the US news outlets, so you decided to use Al Jazeera as a credible source of information. LOL.
I could have found the information from any source, I figured you would love Al Jazeera.
I don't have to tell you about the history of the region, I assume. I'll just recap...at the end of the Cold War, The former Soviet Union..Russia...lost most of their client-states..at one time the USSR had a good part of Africa sewed up...or in serious play.
Syria was always USSR's best friend in the region--but the relationship got rusty...until Putin saw the opportunity to re-assert dominance in the region and become, once again, a player. Also, as this Islam vs The West dynamic continues, the value of a Islamic country being controlled by Moscow can't be over-stated. It fits with Russia's long-term strategic interests in an obvious way.
After all, the US has Saudi Arabia..and Turkey---and Israel!
Putin just wants to be in a position that looks after Russia's interests. In a lot of ways..it seems attractive to let Russia do our dirty work for us--except Putin is no fool, and would be impossible to control.
When I asked you that question, I knew the answer will be wrong.
Almost everything you wrote here has a very liitle relation to the Russian interests in Syria. Did you know there are muslim republics inside of the Russian Federation? Bashkiria, Tatarstan, Chechnya, Dagestan etc. Did you know that Russia is neighbouring with muslim countries on her south? Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan etc.? Now I'll give you some information that you don't know and won't hear on CNN or FOX.
There are a few thousand citizens from these states and russian muslim republics that joined with ISIS. There was a press-conference in Russia and Putin said that if the ISIS wins in Syria, they will go to those countries next and would destabilize the southern borders of Russia. And then, having russian muslims in their army (which are citizens of Russia), would attack Russia.
If ISIS will lose, then anyway, the threat still exists. Those russian muslims would come back home to Russia. A few thousand of experienced and well-trained combatants!! They would definitely be fighting on the Russian territory. So Putin said - It will be much better if we kill them all on Syrian soil, than we would bomb them in our Cherkessia or Bashkiria. We won't allow them to get back home at all.
Putin makes it clear that the number one russian interst in Syria is to destroy all muslim terrorists abroad, in Syria. And as the whole world sees, Putin is very good at it, even when the US hampers him.

You underestimate Putin. He assess his opponent correctly and he knows exactly who they are : a bunch of immoral warmongering bastards that can't be trusted.

He shipped out his chemical weapons to avoid allegations from the US "humanists" who had intention to military attack Syria. Thanks Russia stopped it. But he didn't use it against his people. Ask syrians themselves about it, instead of believing the western propaganda bullsh*t.

Bolded is for you. The western propaganda works exactly like this. Blame, blame and accuse (but with small letters they say - if confirmed, or possible, or may be ...) Nobody pays attention to such small proviso and starts to belive this unprovable allegations.
The UN is another useless and pointless organisation today that serves interests of their sponsors.

Odd..I was about to say the same about Putin and Russia...Da..nothing really changes eh?
Because Assad is an "evil dictator", who's "killing his own people", has "WMD's" and is "using chemical weapons". I remember hearing this same weak rationalization back when we invaded Iraq. At that time, Democrats were against war, against war for oil & against war profiteers. Now they defend it endlessly.
