I asked a Muslim woman once if they are forced to wear head scarf, she said, nope.

As long as I don't have to wear that scarf, I don't really care.

Men, however, need to go shirtless.

The problem is that if you know NOTHING ELSE about a society or culture going in, you can make almost 100% prediction on how open, free, and protective of religious minorities, women and gay rights a population is based on the amount of hijabs and niqabs on the street.

Almost without fail. Huge correlation in "oppression of everyone who isn't Muslim male" with how the women "choose" to dress in a society. Can we take a guess why?

And unfortunately in the west our freedoms are being used against us for an ultimate goal that may take 100 years to realize... it doesn't HAVE to happen, but it will so long as places like Canada "celebrate" these abhorrent cultural practices.

There's a HUGE difference between sighing and accepting that some people are just religiously stunted ... and CELEBRATING it. Again, why no celebration of an FLDS prairie skirt and long braid fashion? Is the Islamophilia THAT pronounced in places like Canada?

No argument there. I agree.

I'm not reading that people wish to take her right to do anything away. What I'm reading is that people are wondering why such a big deal is being made about this, and especially this almost cult-like praise by the left.

Why is it newsworthy that a reporter in Canada is wearing a hijab?

Is this how low the bar has been set for what qualifies as news in the west?

Ummm...ok. This is enriching Canada's society? I truly don't get the multicultural leftist mindset. Sooo, if a woman were to wear say, a Catholic nuns habit, and do a news show, would that be "enriching"? Probably not. It would have to be something non Christian in nature. Perhaps a Satanic robe, some Wiccan garb, stuff like that. Perish the thought that a woman wear a Cross on a chain and actually allow it to show whilst doing a news show.

But a woman does a program in Muslim garb and all these people just fall all over themselves to gush over her. It's actually kind of annoying. I'd be embarrassed to fawn over anyone like tbat. For any reason. It's patronizing and phony as hell. Whatever. Takes all kinds they say. But really, what's so bloody special about this?

Poor Canada...

They are about to experience an increase in Muslim refugees and Islamic terrorism.

The left has gone insane. When fathers raising their children are called heroes, when people who state they're gay are brave, when people who exercise their rights when they're conservative are told they're causing microaggressions, but those who exercise their rights when they're liberal are to be lauded - you know the entire group has lost their damn minds.

I'll bet you anything if they had a person wearing a large cross around their neck, they'd get phone calls and there'd be a ****e storm on twitter by the nitwits tweeting their feigned outrage.
