My post was referencing the 1000s of people as in the 1000 employees and their families, who will be positively impacted because one earner in the family will now be keeping his/her job at Carrier. Workers are not the only ones affected by job loss when a large plant closes. Wives, husbands, children of these workers and even other businesses in the community are positively affected by this plant remaining open.
Have the lucky ones already been identified and informed?
Later in the discussion, Obama challenged Trump’s promises to keep Carrier’s plant open. “He’s going to bring these jobs back. Well, how are you exactly going to do that, what are you going to do? There’s no answer to it.â€
In fact, every tool Trump could possibly use to persuade Carrier to keep operations in Indiana has been available to Obama since the day of the company’s announcement. He has just chosen not to use them.

"The company had planned to move more than 1,400 jobs to Mexico over the next three years."
Now only half of them are leaving in the next few years. Good news? Yes, but this thread is full of exaggerations.
This is one company and as it turns out 1000 jobs, very vague on what the "deal" was but you can bet that taxpayers will be supporting this decision. There are no fairy tales when it comes to business.
This is one company that had public attention throughout the election, good publicity for Trump.
So what next, bring back Apple I-Phones from China and I will be a believer
