I heard rumors that it would have something to do with leveraging the government defense contracting business with their parent company, United Technologies who has something like $4B in annual sales with the US government. If so that is quite a bit of leverage for Trump to use in order to have them keep 1,000 jobs here in the US.

I do however wonder what the long term practicality is too. I mean in 4 years if a new administration is elected its easy enough to up and leave again.
I think it will turn out that it was breaks offered by Pence in Indiana. States compete for businesses all the time.

Yes, they keep talking about how it will cost taxpayers. This is the same bunch that cheered on Obama's failed tax payer funded stimulus plans and when they didn't work said it was only because we didn't spend enough taxpayer money!

This is the same bunch that cheered on Obama's failed taxpayer funded Obamacare.

Now Trump's deal is bad, without us even seeing the details, because it involves a cost to tax payers?

What hypocrits. And by the way, there is always a cost in every economic decision. There's a great cost in jobs fleeing America for Mexico.

True about the states, but I think that $4B in government spend probably dwarfs anything Pence could have offered.

Well maybe you can explain why they chose to keep the jobs here.

Yes! Of course, he didn't advocate for any of those policies, but whatever man, if it makes you feel good to say it, go for it!

Right now, the incentive is to offshore. You simply have to change some of those incentives.

Is Fidel Castro the new Conservative buzzword? I know he just died, but does his name need to be brought up in every conversation?
