I've asked you before and will do so again. You are obviously financial well off - how much do you give for their upkeep? How many have you hired, fed, clothed, taken in and provided medical care for? Sorry but my dollars need to be spent on taking care of Americans who have suffered first and foremost - only after Americans are on their feet again will I consider helping those illegally here from other countries.
He prob believes in socialism as long as its other peoples money.
It's fun to watch the right wing beat around the bush every time I bring this up. Their idea is to persecute anybody that helps illegal immigrants stay in this country, except their employers. The employers of illegals receive a safe zone.
No one here has said that.
People who oppose illegal immigration also oppose employers hiring illegals.

They won't be able to help it.
If they don't pay legal wages to U.S. citizens, they will be fined, lose their businesses, and/or go to jail/prison.
The new Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not going to give a pass to employers the way Republican and Democrat AGs have done in the past.
He'll arrest and jail pastors of sanctuary churches -- along with mayors of sanctuary cities and governors of sanctuary states -- you can be sure of that.
The whole "sanctuary movement" is about to collapse -- Sessions might not even have to do anything!
Brave words from the illegal immigrant defenders --- but they have no guts.

Why should they say good bye to their tax exempt status?
It is the same threat which has already been made to States which have "sanctuary cities". They want the locals to enforce Federal immigration laws, or lose Federal funding.
In some ways it would be better to let go of the tax exempt status, because after that the government won't have anything they can use to harass churches with. It is because of the tax exempt status the government can, and does, dictate what churches can and cannot say. When they status is lifted, they can say whatever they want.

Separation of Church and state. When Churches make political statements they should forfeit the tax exempt status. When Churches violate law they should also lose tax exempt status. Being seperate does not mean above the law.

Are churches making political statements when they open up health clinics, feed the poor, house the homeless, give away clothes, etc?
