What long term data would that be?....Show me.

Except ice core data isn't that precise.

And yet untainted records show a COOLING TREND.

The true believers of the Church of the Warming Planet will not like that.

The earth heats and cools periodically.

A carbon tax won't change it.

Regardless whether the cause is a natural cycle or the recent few decades are an outliers, it's hard to argue that dumping more crap into the atmosphere is actually helping the situation. Most pollution abatement technologies to date have spawned new businesses, so it could be argued that pollution control can be a jobs creator. This could be handled with sensibilities, but kicking it around in the political arena accomplishes nothing.

Let's see you refute this evidence of the FACT that the earth is heating up...

Sea ice is an important factor in global climate for numerous reasons: https://www.vets.ucar.edu/vg/seaice/importance.shtml

So?

It will eventually cool down. These things have cycles you know.

Not worried about it.

You should be worried....Current warming has nothing to do with natural cycles, and if we don't change how we get and use energy soon, we will have runaway warming that will be impossible to stop.

Actually the hottest years occurred during the last Inter-Glacial Period, but you don't seem to concerned with facts or reality.

Inconsistency.. the earth is about to implode because of hcgw, no plan to stop it in time

In other words what is in doubt is the government's claim they will do anything effective with the taxmoney collected as there is no drop dead date or a plan of action that can be detailed to show effectiveness and progress.

Global warming or global cooling we need to be respectful of the environment. It is a constant effort ,not some kind of induced hysterical panic and shovels full of cash at taxpayer expense that goes who knows where.
