I say yes only because people are routinely fired from their jobs for this kind of stuff - saying dumb and controversial stuff on social media - that always makes the news. Common people whose social media accounts aren't even well-known but then blow up with said tweet or other post when it "goes viral" and makes it to the media. So if it happens to other people, it should happen to her IMO. She already has this bigger platform and she posted something seriously awful and stupid.
Like his father or not, as a child, Barron Trump should be untouchable from this kind of stuff. The autistic comments aren't even as disgusting as this was - school shooter? Really? Unbelievably stupid thing to say. It's not even that it's offensive, it's just - where's your brain? What possesses you to say such a thing about a 10 year old child? What type of person not only thinks that, but says it, on social media no less knowing who her tweet could reach as a writer for SNL? Stupid, and people do get fired for making stupid mistakes like this.
Freedom of speech doesn't protect you from being fired or publicly shamed for being an idiot, it protects you from the government oppressing and persecuting you for not liking what you have to say.
If these people can face repercussions, why shouldn't she? In reality it IS up to SNL, I'm only saying firing people for dumb social media posts happens frequently. It would not be shocking or unheard of if she is fired for a stupid tweet that is seen as "controversial."
