Republicans in the House Ways and Means Comittee have voted against a measure that would allow them to see the Presidents tax returns (the same ones he promised to reveal) to determine if his involvement with Russian financiers has led to a conflict of interest that may jeopardize national security. This information does not need to be made public. It seems our national security is no longer important to Republicans.

Vote along party lines. What a shock.

Poll after poll shows the majority of Americans want to see trump's taxes. Aren't these people supposed to represent us?

It doesn't matter what anyone wants now. The time to vote on whether or not we elect someone without tax returns was Nov 8th. The voters said they didn't care about tax returns.

I don't get it why it has become practice for candidates to share their tax returns. It is not the law and if there is a problem such as non payment of taxes I'm sure there are ways to find that out.
When we see a candidates tax return what do we learn? How much money they made, how much they gave to charity, what else?
What would his tax returns have to do with Russia?
I highly doubt there would be a checked box on Trumps complicated tax forms where it shows that he either gave money to or received money from Russia.

I am much more curious to see what is in that Obama deal with the Iranians than I am to see Trumps tax returns.

No they don't.

People are worried about Jobs, Crime, Illegals, Pointless War, Taxes, and Government over reach.

I could care less about his tax returns unless he is convicted of tax fraud or another crime.

SQUIRREL!!!

Agreed, but didn't Trump say he was going to release them? I know he told all kind of lies but this is a matter of national security to see if this man is compromised by Russian interests, and looking at his tax returns (in private) would be the logical thing to do. But that wouldn't look good for the GOP, and we know they don't care about national security anyway.

I think those returns are a national security issue.

He did once the IRS audit is finished. Have they finished? You didn't day.

(It's a multi-year audit initiated by the IRS under the Obama Administration)
