EVERY soldier who dies is SPECIAL ! A post like yours shows the mentality of a lot of people on Trump's side. Hope it never happens to one of your loved ones, you might remember the words you just typed.
Owens’ father, Bill, had learned only a short time before the ceremony that Trump was coming. Owens was sitting with his wife, Marie, and other family members in the solemn, living room-like space where the loved ones of the fallen assemble before they are taken to the flight line.
“I’m sorry, I don’t want to see him,’’ Owens recalled telling the chaplain who informed him that Trump was on his way from Washington. “I told them I don’t want to meet the President.”
Will there be an investigation?
On why Obama and Saudi Arabia were bombing Yemen and why Putin has not been bombing American homes mainland USA? Yeah, there should be an investigation.
There should be an investigation, based on this statement from the father alone:
“Why at this time did there have to be this stupid mission when it wasn’t even barely a week into his administration? Why? For two years prior, there were no boots on the ground in Yemen — everything was missiles and drones — because there was not a target worth one American life. Now, all of a sudden we had to make this grand display?’’
Aside from the father's evil statement insinuating it is okay for white colonial Americans with their mulatto President to bomb and murder people of Yemen, I thought the article answered the question when it stated the operation was planned during the Obama administration but the mission halted until a moonless night would occur. Which according to the article would not happen until again until Trump got into office.
If that is true what the article states then it does not take Einstein or a Ph.D. candidate to figure out why that special operations raid occurred when Trump got into office.
On the one hand he wants answers but he doesn't want to meet the president.
Weird. But then again I could understand a father wanting answers if he was kept in the dark about his son's secretive job.
He is just political-religiosity motivated.
I'm sure the many parents his son helped murder across the earth for the American empire want answers too. And probably want answers from this father of the fallen SEAL. Maybe they regard him like he regards Trump. Maybe they want to know why did you raise a child that kills other people's children. Because that's what happens in battle and wars. I'm guilty of participating in it myself as a Marine that served the empire and it's thirst for blood and destruction that can never be quenched.
Americans are under the delusion a human story only exists on their side.
Battles and wars usually are not casualty free. And if missions of special operations are kept so secret then how does the father know no special operations teams carried out covert missions in Yemen when Obama was in office?
If my so died following the orders of anyone, i would hate that person....can't blame the Dad. IMO, no US soldier should be put on the line to be killed unless they are truly protecting American lives. Bush was wrong, Obama was wrong, and now Trump is wrong to send our soldiers to be killed on worthless missions.
If they knew I can already tell you members of the Hillary Democrats and McCain Republicans informed them so American SEALs and special ops people would be killed. So they could blame Trump.
In war one should know their enemy. I know the double headed beast of the Hillary Democrats and McCain Republicans, if Trump would provide every unemployed Black-American with the 99% likelihood of getting a $70,000 a year job in the private sector, that double headed beast would intentionally sabotage it all. So, that Trump would look horrible.
Are you a Trump supporter? Just curious, since Trump said we should pull out of Iraq immediately back in 2007. In fact, he wanted a quicker withdrawal and in March 2007 said "we should declare victory and leave."
We never should have been there in the first place. Did you read the rest I wrote that says leave the dictators there? Once there you have to clean up the mess. Stay out of the ME unless they give us a reason to go.
