Trump got a 70% approval from those who watched it. I'm glad I watched it because it lessened some of my fears. He came out to me as being a lot more intelligent than GW Bush. At the same time it showed my party's obsession with protecting illegal aliens. The illegals have to go to the back of the line, behind those who immigrate legally. The vilifying of the Muslim faith was a bit Hitleristic, however.

Didn't watch or listen. Might today. But probably not.

Serious question: was there any mention of a new amnesty?

Less-serious question: were there any white-supremacist "gang symbols" or "dog whistles" thrown?

i.e. Democrats have wasted huge sums. That spending will be redirected.
I did listen to it.

$6 trillion spent in ME is fake news, and not even close to the actual figure. Besides, bulk of the actual figure was spent by Bush admin.

Trump said he will cut revenues and then spend, spend, spend, spend, and did not even hint how he will find all the spending. He sounded like Obama on steroids. Maybe more like Bernie Sanders.

The speech is typical GOP BS.

Put them in power unchecked and be prepared to protect your wallet.

Finally? We have been doing that for decades, and anti-immigrants have fought against it tooth and nail. It is called H1B program. Clinton expanded it, but since then Republicans have reduced it.

It was a good speech and made the Democrats looked pouty. White dresses? There may be some obscure statement they're making but no one knows what it is and even fewer care to know.

He addressed all the important topics, the ones most Americans feel need attention. He rallied his party and offered an open hand to the Democrats. We'll have to see how his proposals will fix the problems he identified, but he let Americans know that he is on the same page they are.

The snowflakes love polls so I'm sure they are not going to like this one.

Yeah I can't imagine 30% felt the speech made them feel more negative towards Trump. Cmon.
