What will he do if he doesn't get his way on this bill? He is intimidating them now. What if they don't fall in line. What will Bannon do? I don't see either of them being good sports if they lose/fail.

If they are wealthy with good coverage then fine.. Otherwise, things are different now. Healthcare costs are so unbelievably high. If you are not covered you can be financially devastated and bankrupted easily. Older folks more likely to get sick, and if they lose any coverage could lose everything.
Being older, no time to recover losses either - go into old age destitute and sick.

I cannot imagine how any couple will be able to afford the 5x premium of the younger generation that this bill is proposing. I checked this out and determined that in my state it would cost me and my spouse at least $34,000 for health insurance. And I do not even know how high a deductible that would be and whether meds would be covered. Even with a $4,000 credit each (total $8,000) that is crazy money. And we would still have to scrounge up the cash to pay the $34,000 and then wait for the credit at the years end. We were budgeting and being very careful with our nest egg but to take a $34,000 hit, or even a $28,000 hit is unfathomable. It can't be done.

  • Lower premiums. Even the 5x over 3x might not a big deal. 3x$300 vs 5x$175 for example?
  • More choice, better plans.
  • Lower taxes
The pre-existing conditions is already discussed, and you will be covered. Stop spinning, liberals.

They are going into full on fascist mode now.

Meltdown and attack the people that didn't vote the way he wanted. Further pushing everything to a standstill as Trump continues to implode and everyone else just wants to get away far enough to not get sucked in with him.

The hilarious thing about all this is the House is not going to vote for this not because it is a bad bill, but because it isn't hard core conservative enough. Hilarious when you think about it since this bill is stupid on so many levels but apparently isn't stupid enough.

What is so "stupid" about the bill in your estimation?

I see where Dr Emmanuel met 3 times with Trump regarding the ACA replacement, I agree with him that they need to come up with a bi-partisan bill rather than continuing down this path. The GOP has some real problems and I don't see this bill or the one proposed by the Freedom Caucus going anywhere, nor will their version.

Those of us who are Trump skeptics have never accused him of being a thinker...
