It isn't unusual for an incoming President to replace the current Attorneys. What is a bit unusual is to ask them to resign effective immediately, before a replacement can be named, confirmed by the Senate. Reno did ask the Attorneys to all resign, but not effective immediately.
Submitting the letters and when they take effect are two different things....
so now that your lie was exposed then you play word games.
The Janet Reno letters to all Attorneys from the Bush Sr. administration says IMMEDIATELY! the definition of immediately is: NOW ! At once! Instantly!
the letter didn't say until a replacement has been appointed. it says quit your job immediately and pack up your personal belongings and leave the federal building. That is what it means!

when your boss tells you, you have been terminated effective immediately it means you are OUT at that moment....it doesn't mean you are fired but you get to stay until we find and train a replacement for you.
Janet Reno sent letters to all Attorneys under the Bush Sr. administration demanding their resignations immediately......immediately is NOW! ....the letter didn't say give me your resignation immediately but you can stay at your job until congress confirms your replacement which it could take months or years.

give me a break!
Many of the Bush era Attorneys stayed on after they were requested to resign during the Clinton administration until a replacement was confirmed. Same with the Clinton attorneys when Bush took office, and the Bush attorneys when Obama took office. Having large scale vacancies is unusual.

You are making things up!......you were caught in a lie.........you have a problem with the English language.
Immediately means: NOW, AT ONCE , instantly!
the definition of resignation is : an act of retiring or giving up a position.
when you use the 2 words in the same sentence in an official government letter or any official letter or memo it means: give up your position immediately, NOW, at once, instantly.
either words have meaning or they don't. If Janet Reno wanted them to stay for a longer period of time she would have requested that in her letters specific......she didn't because we all knew what it meant.
Very sad way to deal with one of the most upstanding federal prosecutors in long time.
This is probably payback from Trump and his handlers/supporters for Preet investigating and winning convictions for Shelly Silver and other NYC politicians both local and in Albany with ties to the NYS real estate lobby.
Trump's Russia business would have been investigated by his office as needed. Maybe it was being done and that is why Trump went from supporting him to kicking him out. Thing is, he can talk freely now and I understand he is a pretty charismatic and gifted communicator.
