This man you call an idiot did it in a non partisan manner and had a high success rate.

If you think he is an idiot and your leader is good, you truly do live in an upside down world. But we already knew that Trumpees think backwards of the rest of us. Here, read this, and tell me he is an idiot:

Preetinder Singh "Preet" Bharara[needs IPA] (born October 13, 1968) is an Indian-born American lawyer who served as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 2009 to 2017. On March 11, 2017, he was fired—after refusing to resign—as a result of Attorney General Jeff Sessions' request for all remaining 49 US Attorneys appointed during President Obama's administration to resign.[2][3]
As U.S. Attorney, Bharara earned a reputation of a "crusader" prosecutor[4][5] who for seven years was one of "the nation's most aggressive and outspoken prosecutors of public corruption and Wall Street crime."[6] Under Bharara, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York prosecuted nearly 100 Wall Street executives for insider trading and other offenses.[7] He reached historic settlements and fines with the four largest banks in the United States,[8][9][10] and closed multibillion-dollar hedge funds for activities including insider trading.[11][12]
Under Bharara, federal prosecutors also public corruption investigations against Democratic and Republican, most notable securing convictions against the Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Sheldon Silver and the Majority Leader of State Senate, Dean Skelos.[6] One of Bharara's chief adversaries was Governor Andrew Cuomo, whom Bharara's office investigated.[13] Under Bharara, the U.S. Attorney's office was also known for its terrorism prosecutions and civil rights cases.[6] Bharara's office had international reach, pursuing defendants located in many countries outside the United States

He is gone for one reason, he was the man who went after Wall Street, and we all know Trump's cabinet is lined with people from Wall Street.
It's simpler than that. He's gone because he's an Obama-appointee. Kind of stupid to be firing all Obama-appointees, but it's what they're doing. It was stupid when Clinton did it. It's even stupider now. Clinton at least asked them to serve out time until the replacements were in place. Bharrara certainly ruffled some feathers, but it's not why he's gone. Not resigning and making them fire him was just classic Bharrara. He could have resigned and gone away quietly with the rest of them but by making them fire him, which obviously was going to happen, it's nosier.

Why would you wait for this Senate to confirm the new nominees in order to fire the old ones seeing as how Schumer has his party deliberately dragging their feet on everything confirmation? No point stalling if Trump isn't going to wait to let Obama's people go.

Now seriously, time for Mnuchin to send IRS guy packing. However, they need to carefully look at the person they choose to make "acting commissioner."

The Janet Reno letters to all Attorneys from the Bush Sr. administration says IMMEDIATELY! the definition of immediately is: NOW ! At once! Instantly!

the letter didn't say until a replacement has been appointed. it says quit your job immediately and pack up your personal belongings and leave the federal building. That is what it means!

...drops mic and calmly walks away as the opponent scrambles to back-peddle.

Besides, why did you feel it was necessary to start yet another post on this topic when you could have just added your thoughts to one of the other existing posts?

Ongoing trials (if any), necessity of having a judge to hear cases. Confirmation can drag on for years. It's politically calculated for both ends. Trump probably figures less chance of confirmation hearings being dragged on for years. There's a much greater sense of urgency to filling an empty seat than filling a full one.

No, his office would be directing investigations of Trump's illegal business deals including those with Russia, his wall street cronies, etc. The FBI is a police agency. They do the digging then report the findings to US attorneys for prosecution as warranted.

Immediately means: NOW, AT ONCE , instantly!

the definition of resignation is : an act of retiring or giving up a position.

when you use the 2 words in the same sentence in an official government letter or any official letter or memo it means: give up your position immediately, NOW, at once, instantly.

either words have meaning or they don't. If Janet Reno wanted them to stay for a longer period of time she would have requested that in her letters specific......she didn't because we all knew what it meant.
She asked them to offer their resignations immediately, once that was dome they accepted the resignations by in large when a replacement could be found. I don't grasp why this is such a hard concept to comprehend.

In 2007, President George W. Bush’s administration sought to defend his firing of eight U.S. attorneys by asserting that President Bill Clinton had fired all sitting U.S. attorneys in 1993 “in one fell swoop,” as a top aide to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales put it.

However, that was not entirely true. In both the Clinton and Bush administrations, the vast majority of U.S. attorneys were replaced in the first year, the Los Angeles Times reported in 2007. The Clinton team asked for resignation letters in March, but also allowed many prosecutors to stay until their successors were confirmed.

Bharara tweeted out that he now knows what the Moreland Commission felt like. That was something started by NY Governor Cuomo to investigate corruption and shut down by Cuomo a few months later. Bharara went after Cuomo for doing so. Interesting.
