Kinda fascinating watching them fail so hard. The optics, and who gets pushed in front of the bus are interesting.
"Pre-existing conditions" have never been insurable anyway.
I don't have a chronic medical condition but my insurance (through multiple different employers) has always covered pre-existing conditions. If employer-based health insurance can make it happen, than it shouldn't be a problem to (continue to) offer through a private exchange.
The insurance for someone with (for example) Type 1 Diabetes may be more than someone without a chronic condition, but it should still be covered.
