Anyhow the damage is done, doubt it will hurt United in the long run, but shows what kind of company it is.
I sided with them for the legging incident but this is another thing entirely.
United messed up all around.
They kept trying to hide behind the carrier contract (AKA fine print), yet that fine print only applies to those who have NOT boarded. And even at that they failed, since they never gave Dao a written statement explaining why he was chosen and any compensation offered.
United also promised federal regulators a few years ago that all passengers who paid for a seat were guaranteed one.
All the blind United supporters here should be ashamed of themselves.
Everyone knows no one was robbed. United asked airport security to escort the man off the plane, that is all. The officers chose to get aggressive in order to remove the man who would not comply.
They "escorted" him off the plane to rob him of his seat on the flight to Louisville.
Really? lol What if a couple or few pilots have a heart attack on the same day? I guess you are entitled not to be inconvenienced by that?
A few pilots have a heart attack on the same day? The airlines need to have more thorough medical work-ups on their pilots each year. Our lives are in their hands for god's sake!

None of the fine print I've seen apply here.
Since the guy has two high powered attorneys on the case, I'm betting they are seeing the same thing.

Yep. CEO had to do damage control after UA almost lost 1 billion dollars yesterday.
All they had to do was apologize the day it all went viral, and not have spread "hit pieces" on the Dr. I mean, what the heck, they're bringing up the dudes past record from 12 years ago? What's that have to do with this situation?
I'll not fly United again. I hated them before this situation (always late, planes uncomfortable, raise ticket prices at the last minute right before you purchase the tickets).
I remember I flew on a small airplane. I booked my flight on Delta and sat in my seat. They asked me to move to the back of the plane (the last row!) for even weight distribution on the plane. They offered ZERO in return. If I wanted to sit in the very last row, I would of booked it in the last row. I was the only non-white person in that area of the plane. I hate flying and the airlines.
