Trump's credibility is worth a lot less than Comey's, even though Trump is POTUS.

Yeah. Like "Obama tapped my wires at Trump Tower" - even though there is no evidence it happened and multiple intelligence agency heads testified that there is no evidence - just because the people Trump is talking about were captured talking to valid targets of foreign powers.

McMaster's latest press conference seems to confirm that Trump fired Comey deliberately to restrict the Russian investigation---
While McMaster's statement said Trump's reason was because the investigation was hampering negotiations with RUSSIA---that is not what Trump's own words said--
Trump told the Russians in his Oval Office that Comey's firing would take the heat off "HIM"...
So a personal reason more than any other...
The requirement for criminal "obstruction of justice" is that the party doing it must show knowledge of intent--that s/he is committing that action to stop a process felt to be damaging...
Trump admitted and McMaster confirmed that Trump expected a more positive outcome by firing Comey which would hamper the Russia investigation...
That admission seems pretty overtly incriminating to me...
And we have seen with the Travel ban EO's how Trump's words/tweets/campaign speeches can come back to haunt the intent of his actions...

And McMaster also rearranged some of the language he used initially to gloss over where/how Trump obtained the info...

There is strong speculation among former Intel members of other admins that Trump's telling the Russians has led to the killing of the Israli spy in the ISIS forces where the info originated and will be another reason for a very chilly reception when he gets to Israel--
In addition to his retraction of his hard-line against Muslim terrorisism...

When Cheney outed Plame, her career was ruined but at least she was not undercover in a foreign country with her life at risk...
And Cheney should have been charged with that breach of the law...and of course was not--
He was protected by the Bush admin

So you know Trump won't come under strong fire since this was an undercover, unknown/unnamed foreign operative....but you can't ignore that his releasing that info was deliberate and done to garner favor with the Russian government vs honor the agreement it was obtained under with the Israeli government...
It sets a dangerous precedent that likely means less valuable, strategic information will be forthcoming--and it certainly won't be making its way up the food chain to Trump...
His actions, and McMaster's in covering up Trump's serious mistake (cause that is what it was) has proved that neither one of them can be trusted with America's interests...
And McMaster's has done his reputation NO GOOD by covering Trump's ass...

The memo doesn't even exist. The person who supposedly read it over the phone admits that he didn't have it in his possession and said he "saw" it but can't remember the exact wording. LMAO!!!!!!

Comey took meticulous notes of his meetings with the POTUS. Trump asked AG Sessions and VP Pence to leave the room. Who is going to have a more accurate account of these meetings?

Show us the memo, you seem to have it then show it. Besides, Comey already boxed himself in. He went in front of Congress AFTER this meeting took place and said he did not feel pressured in any way to drop the investigation.

Now other heads of Intel Agencies have reported that Trump---not one of his aides--had asked THEM to help stop the FBI/Russia inquiry or to stop any efforts their agencies were making in that search...
Any reasonable person would know
1--that is not a smart move if you have not committeed something that crosses the line,
2--that behavior is likely to come out--just as other "leaks" have sprung before and after the election and his presidency began...
3--that asking the head of a government agency to STOP an investigation is abuse of power and likely becomes prima facile evidence of obstruction of justice...

I don't think there has to be a CRIME to have charges of obstruction of justice--
Justice implies a search for truth and accountability---it does not always result in a guilty verdict on a criminal charge...but is about the process to determine weight of evidence and the involvement of various individuals...

As the saying goes--it is the coverup that creates the problem not the original crime so much of the time--
Trump has created so many problems for himself by attempts to stop the investigation into whether or not there WAS a crime....
He apparently has no one capable of restricting his self-destructive actions and maybe even has people who want him to exercise his "power" in these regards...
He came into the presidency thinking he was going to rule like a king--
Not so
His aides have disdained the idea that they lack insight into how to run a government and have ignored helpful (and unhelpful) comments about what they could do better...
So be it...
Live by the sword, die by the sword
Live by hubris, die by hubris...

Why did he sit on this info, instead of following protocol? That makes it an Obstruction of Justice, for not informing the DOJ of this, when it happened.
Was he going to use it to extort the President?

Because he is an experienced prosecutor. Obstruction of justice cases depend on intent. A single conversation is not sufficient evidence to prove intent. A pattern of behavior proves intent. Like asking for a pledge of loyalty, then asking for a case to be "let go", then when the case isn't "let go", firing the person conducting the case, and then publicly defaming the person fired. That's a pattern. And it gets even better when the President of the United States openly states that when he decided to fire the Director of the FBI he was thinking about the investigation into Russian efforts to influence the campaign, and when the President of the United States doubles down by telling Russian visitors to the Oval Office how his firing of the Director of the FBI has relieved him of the pressure of that Russian investigation, and then continues on to reveal classified information to his Russian visitors....

This President has a litany of mistakes that demonstrate his disdain for ethics.
