Absolutely mind blowing to me that not only did Putin personally direct this operation, but that Republicans are perfectly ok with it.

This was without a doubt a Russian coup of the U.S.
Stwawman argument, thread fail.

CBS = fake news.

What did they do, EXACTLY?
What exactly did they do, with proof, and what exactly did this cause?

Proof they have nothing.

Nothing for 2018.

Nothing for 2020.

Keep talking about Russia.

And once again. If Putin were really interested in "controlling" the POTUS, why on earth would he want Trump? Hilly has already proven she can be bought, she has a history of corruption, and she is a globalist shill. Trump is a nationalist billionaire who cant be paid off.

Can you cite a link showing that Trump denied that the Russian government tried to influence the election?

Russia has always tried to interfere. The reason Dems are bringing it up now is because they need an excuse for why Hillary lost

NYTs, WaPo. CNN, CBS, ABC, etc. are all ethical and outstanding news organizations. It is the case of shooting the messenger. When a crisis happens you can get your news from World News Daily or Breitbart and I will get mine from CNN.

There is not proof of Russian collusion yet, but the investigation rolls on. There is however no question of Russian meddling in our election process. Why isn't Trump doing more to protect our democracy and why is he in denial that Russian meddling occurred?
Stop it your killing me here !!!

Like the report from the British Spy (remember the 'golden showers' story?) Or any of the other 'leaks' that have mostly proven to be fake?

You are ok with the fact that a murdering ex-KGB autocrat attempted to influence the US election? All this garbage about illegals voting, but a foreign power is attempting to break into our government, and that is ok? The only people who would be ok with this are the Russians (although, not the ones with integrity).

If you came home and discovered someone broke into your house, rummaged around but did not take anything, would you just shrug it off or report it to the cops and try to protect your home?

It appears you did not read the article.

"...Over that five-month interval, the Obama administration secretly debated dozens of options for deterring or punishing Russia, including cyberattacks on Russian infrastructure, the release of CIA-gathered material that might embarrass Putin and sanctions that officials said could “crater” the Russian economy...

...Obama approved a modest package combining measures that had been drawn up to punish Russia for other issues — expulsions of 35 diplomats and the closure of two Russian compounds — with economic sanctions so narrowly targeted that even those who helped design them describe their impact as largely symbolic...

...Obama also approved a previously undisclosed covert measure that authorized planting cyber weapons in Russia’s infrastructure, the digital equivalent of bombs that could be detonated if the United States found itself in an escalating exchange with Moscow...

...In political terms, Russia’s interference was the crime of the century, an unprecedented and largely successful destabilizing attack on American democracy..."
I think i'd take your concern of Russian "meddling" and "attacking the sovereignty of a fair and balanced election" *if* Democrats and the extreme fringe left wing at the very least ALSO addressed the corruption, lying and misinformation pertaining to their own party that was exposed in the alleged Russian meddling.

You talk about having your home broken into, not reporting it to the police, and then shrugging it off? But what about when someone in your own home steals your things? And then falsifies a police report about it claiming that it was someone else outside of your home?

Is that a crime?

Should that be investigated?

Shouldn't certain security and integrity measures be put into place to prevent that from occurring again too?

When are the Democrats going to look inward, come clean and address that?

I would also agree with your point entirely IF we had any confirmation, that the "Russian interference" had any measurable impact on the election. But it did nothing, nada, ziltch. You're pretending to be upset and angry over nothing other than the principle of the matter.

First you attack the voters who didn't vote for you...

Then you attack the Electoral college for not tilting in your favor...and proceed to claim that the "popular vote is what REALLY counts" despite the fact that we've been doing this for what 250 years? Isn't that an attack on the sanctity, and integrity of our nation's electoral process???

When does it STOP?

And let's be honest...this is a just a disguised argument to delegitimize Trump's election victory over Clinton. Otherwise, you'd address the "interference" concurrently with the uncovered corruption within the Democratic Party as well.

My question remains...

let's say we do uncover Russians WANTED Trump to win, and therefore they attempted to assist him in doing so....Trump is still elected fair and square...NOW WHAT?

Do you want to go to war over it?

What exactly do they suggest we do about it? Start a nuclear war over it??

Whatdo they want the end result to be from all of this?

Do they think Hillary is going to be dug up and carried into the White House?
At least show some consistency, because if the roles were reversed, the right wing nut jobs on this board would be calling for an armed insurrection. They called Obama a "tyrant" for trying to fix our healthcare issues. Are any of you actually serious with this nonsense that it's "no big deal".

It is from CBS, who is only repeating the Wash Post, so credibility there.

I'll wait for their retraction on page 53.
