Many are young people who don't want health insurance or forced to get insurance or pay a fine by the Federal government.

ObamaCare never had more than about 12 Million enrolled. The Medicaid rolls EXPLODED because the "poverty level" was raised. That also raised the threshold for EBT cards and other forms of Welfare.
ACA is a failure.

I don't much like the Republican bills to address the problem - HOWEVER, I do understand that the bills are totally based on the Rules of Reconciliation - which they have to do because the Democrats have taken some sort of weird pledge to NOT participate in Legislation on Healthcare. That is unlikely to 'change'.

We are faced with limited options:
1). Watered down anemic "fix" that nobody much likes
2). Remove the 60 Vote Rule on any Legislation the Democrats refuse to participate in.
3). Vote out the Democrats to get to a filibuster proof Senate.
4). Do nothing and watch the ACA Implode - which only hurts the Middle Class & continue the Free Ride for others.

At this point ..... option #2 is the only choice that makes sense.
Poor Legislation to replace Poor Legislation should not be acceptable to any American.
Watching the Middle Class lose more should not be an option ..... but that is the plan of the Leftists.

More and more regulation?

That does not sound like the GOP I know unless the regulation includes throwing people off the rolls and women's wombs.
Yesiree Bob! Rand Paul is not your average GOP swamp creature. We could have had a president with a real brain.

At 63 I'll at least have Medicare by the time anything this Cruel Party does.
Yes--we are the only country in the world where people can't wait to get old and hit 65--to get Medicare and get out of the 50-65 insurance rip-off territory.

I think that they are excluded in this latest health bill.

Maybe because a portion of them might have liver diseases (primarily cirrhosis of) that need to be covered?

This age group is also much more likely to vote GOP. Go figure.

IMO, a good solution is to allow those 50 and over to choose Medicare and if they want to pay the full premium for it. This would help improve Medicare's pool by bringing in younger people. And it would allow older people to get out of Trumpcare's massive premium increase on the private market.

Giving those 50 and over the choice wouldn't force it on anyone. If fact, if they choose not to have any insurance they can do that too.
