It makes me laugh to see all the posts about Hillary. The republicans have been trying for literally 30 years to find something, anything, that could possibly be criminal, with no success whatsoever. She was never ignored. All we saw for a year was Trey Gowdy screaming "Benghazi!" every day, and even after an eleven-hour session of testimony they couldn't trap her or get her to contradict herself.
Do I think she or Bill are squeaky clean? Not for a minute. But Trump has reset the bar for how low a president can go. Even Nixon, who really was a crook, was not in the same league as Mango Mussolini. Invoking Clinton on a thread about Trump committing criminal acts shows a true desperation among his sycophants to change the subject, and it's not working in the least. Clinton may be a lot of things, but she is an experienced politician who know how government works, and she is not a traitor. Trump is going to grace the history books as the subject of one of the saddest chapters ever in American politics.
Maybe you overlooked it, but the poster to which you responded suggested that those who did not actually live through the 1960s and 1970s as young adults read about the events of that time, and educate themselves, as there are many, many parallels with what we've seeing and experiencing today.

I never expected to be attending rallies, signing numerous petitions, writing letters and making frequent calls to my representatives and registering new voters at the start of my eighth decade, but have felt compelled by conscience to do so in response to the rampant dishonesty, corruption, and outright anti-Americanism of the current administration and their cronies.
I have been considerably more politically active since January 20 than I was during my 1960s college years.
Why? - Because I love my country, and I fear for it.
You present good data for the young people to review... I've lived through much and read and research many things, and you are correct. It is quite beneficial to the young to look back and learn.
I reference often the Pre-Civil Rights mentalities, as well I recall the protesters of the past who stood against the carnage in Vietnam. I also speak about the vile of the Bull Conner and George Wallace messes in the streets surrounding the Voting Act, as well as the stands in this country against the South African Apartheid, along with many other things from the Nixon-Watergate, and much of the events of history that lead up to this very day.
It's not fiction nor fantasy, it is reality. When one lived to see such things, it become data to pass on to the newer generations.
One can go back and learn a great deal from studying, especially the long continuous battle for Civil Rights that took place long before the camera's exposed much in the general media. It is truly tragic when we see so much of a "remake of so many divisive attitudes that are filled with denials".
The Oddity is: Today, there are some 'Moderate Republican", who are somewhat like the Moderate Southern Democrats of the Old, (before they became Republican). Who were afraid to speak out against the generalized racial abuse. Some (Not All) now stand up and speak truth to the denials espoused by those bigots and racist of the past, and they use truths of history against the discounting opposition of many voices of the past that spoke much against real truth.
After the disaster of the lust for tax credits for the wealthy at the expense of 22 million plus, which the current Administration has targeted as "disposable", and the now...more and more Moderate Republican are awakening to the madness that is promoted by Republican Congress and the Trump Machines. What is truly said, is the young who now fill many college campuses, who still promote the hate and racism their parents and even their grandparents pushed, and they think not a second thought of how backwards and lost they are in racist and bigoted ignorance. The more of them who continually get "busted" for their racist acts, their bigoted conduct, and their on campus rapes as if they think women are objects for their delights, because they were raised in cultures that condoned dealing with woman as if they are objects to be bought, toyed with and used for their amusement and pleasure, because they grew up with the ideals that women's who point of existence is to be subservient unto them, and conduct herself as one who is submissive to them because they come from well to do and wealthy environments, where far too many know far too well, the history of luring and buying women via the lure of money and deceptions to satisfy their momentum fancy.
No one rapes anyone they feel are their equal as a human being. The history of Slavery proved that, the way rape was part of the general format of the cultural mentality of the wealthy slave owners. During that time, women were too owned objects; without the man she had no social standing, she could not vote and was not allowed to hold jobs or gain a professions. Her life was dependent on how she performed her service to the man who claimed ownership of her, and he used the institution of marriage as if it gave him ownership... he did not think it terms that it was a bond between two equal individuals to work as helpmates. In his mind he owned her, and once he gave her his last name, she was his property. They send their young kids off to university with this mentality, and the young girls who take that racist madness to colleges, are there, playing the same roles, of waiting to be swept up by some young wealthy male, more than they are focused on being independent as in functioning without bias, bigotry and racism. They know they must atone to the ideals of the males to be of selectivity by those same mentality type males who represent wealth and means. It's craziness that has persisted for decades upon decades.

Among the wake up call has been the disclosure of how Medicaid has been attacked, and the constructive plan that damages 10's of millions all for the sake of "enriching the wealthy". Some of even the Moderate Republicans are now alert to the same game, once tried by Reagan's "trickle down game", that resulted into nothing more than "union busting" and expanded and fast cycle of outsourcing's. What exist today, in the big difference is more and more Liberal Minded Democratic whites are no longer afraid of the reprisals that were once commonly engaged against them by the Right wingers who once denominated the Southern Democrats Ranks. Once those bigots and racist left the Southern Democratic party and moved over to the Republican Party; the Democratic party took up the causes that go all the way back to the era of Lincoln's values for equality in society and they now stand firm in support of Civil Rights, respect for multicultural society, and they respect the fact that "our tax money", has as much right and duty to help American people, than to stand around and watch the lies and denials, which has seen this nation spend Trillions upon Trillions to fight Right Wing instituted wars in foreign lands, and take on the cost. But every time there is programs that Benefit Americans, they whine and cry about a few billion dollars over a decade or so, which is merely a drop in the bucket... compared to the massive Trillions we've spent blowing up other nations around the globe and disrupting entire countries and watching the carnage turn mass volumes of people into global refugees.
It's the Good Humane Respecting American people, who are among the Liberal Minded, Democrats, and some More Open minded Moderate Republicans.. who respect the fact that American tax dollars has as much duty to help American people and more need for it to help American people, than to charge around the world wasting money fighting conflicts that were initiated and generated by "Big Oil", and other aims to capture minerals and other commodities from other nations. People no longer care for the march of Republican Led Imperialist Agenda.
It's time we take a lesson from Nations like China, who go and build "mutual benefit relations with other nations'... Not like Right Wing Mentality Americans, trying to repeat what the British did to so many other nations in earlier history of trying to dominate and dedicate over any nations that had plentiful resources and vast labor pools.
President Obama understood it was time for "Change', and the more he pushed for Change, the more he was attacked by a Right Wing, who led off with Racism and pushed anguish because President Obama would not take the stand and position of a "bully" and "arrogance conquistador" against other nations. Big money amassed a vast campaign of smear, and attack against every act of diplomacy, they called it weak, because they rely on "brute mentality" and do no understand the 'strength and faith it takes to promote diplomacy".
We can be thankful that President Obama did not go in war games against Russia over Ukraine, or Go into Egypt, Libya, and Syria pushing the old fashioned "War promoting Imperialist Agenda". We can be thankful that Obama invested more than 1 ½ years working on ACA and holding open hearing at each step. It was well known how the Republican pushed opposition at every step to "kill off" the provision which would have made the program more efficient and expanded its ability to be a superbly great program. We also know the long battle republican waged, by lobbying Insurance companies to do everything they could to fight to make the program look bad, including lobbying them to raise rates as an attack on the ACA programs.
Republican lobbied heavily to get companies not to participate, as well as they republican did not make any effort or aim to remove the state lines and let companies compete nation wide.
Its the same old game that was done to promote "outsourcing jobs", as well as trying to deny broad base coverage... which was the same basis that George Wallace stood upon in his fight against the voting rights acts. Which was to deny any means or benefits to be inclusive of black people as well as women. They did not care that, what ever they deny to blacks, would also cause poor whites the same denials. Because they have always seen the "poor whites as a "disposable section of society", to be used as collateral damage, for the things that were done to make hardships and denials upon and against blacks.
It's all documented for those who read and research to learn who was truly impacted and devastated by the Republican Agenda.
We now have Trump trying to tell American's what is legal and what is not, when we have a system of Laws, Policies and Ethic's all of which he has ignored, violated and denigrated, and now that his son is caught in the form of participating in espionage, collusion and treasonous collaborations with a known enemy to impact and affect out President Elections.. now Trump expects the public to believe him. When his whole platform has been about lies, and deceptions, distractions gaming, and the gross insult to the emoluments clause. We've seen nothing but member after member be involved with Russians from money washing to covert and overt actions against our Democratic Processes and infusing their meddling into our public systems and forums trying to pick side and push a candidate, they have some operatives controls over, to gain the benefits desired by the Russian system. People mysteriously dying, be the hands of operatives and claiming it to be suicides. When no one shoots themselves in the head (2) times... or just happen to fall off a balcony with chest high railings. Everything from the Cuban Papers to the Dossier that was prepared and published, which they set out in an all out attack to discredit.
Nothing can make the Don Jr. Emails go away, nor the mess of so many of the campaigns top brass sitting in on that meeting, lusting for Russian collaboration against an American Presidential Candidate.
When American can take just actions and expose all of it, from the money washing, to every aspect of the grooming of Trump and his associates and Administration picks and their extensive list of being bought and paid for by Russian fixers and asset groomers.
It is time that American people put a stop to any acts to try to sell out infrastructure repair to Foreign entities and encumber this nation to them for the next 40-50 yrs, to the madness of trying to privatize our Airports and continue to try and create the exact model that Putin has made of Russian systems, by putting their hand picked greed monsters over these organizations and programs.
The more information that comes forth, the more people who will begin to talk even more, until we can see the complete acts and efforts at dismantling the American System, selling out our values and selling out our assets.
We've already seen the Putin desired acts to make havoc with NATO and create distance with our long held list of allies, to the extent of insulting global leaders on International platforms.
America's have seen the spread around the world of the vile attitudes of the Right Wing and their anti Diplomacy mentality, pushed forwards against the many nations that it took us decades and billions of dollars to cultivate and make stable. We've seen nothing but a cycle of acts to dismantle Departments, Divisions and Programs that it took this nation 10's of decades to build with millions of people and 100's of billions of dollars.
The best hope is that Mueller exposes it all and many people get in line to go to prison. That's what Justice looks like.
Look around people at our cities, our elderly and our young and the young adults... The American they desire is not one that attacks people, to give the wealthy a tax break, it does not include selling off our infrastructure to foreign entities and encumbering the future for 40-50 yrs... That is crazy stuff this nation once did against and unto other nations, but in the world of "big data' today... it is our work and job... to Rebuild from the bottom up, and that means INVESTING IN AMERICA AND INVESTING IN AMERICAN PEOPLE, AND CARING FOR THE AMERICA SYSTEM... AND NO AMOUNT OF TAX BREAKS TO THE WEALTHY WILL BENEFIT NOR ACHIEVE ANY OF THAT.
We stake and hold claim as being the wealthiest and strongest nations, but act like a 3rd world country when it comes to investing in America and its American people.. We should never allow anyone to lead us any further down a pathway that is so Anti-American and so against investing American Taxpayers dollars into programs that help American people.

Exactly. I have said that Nixon is laughing at us from the grave, saying, "Never in my wildest dreams would I have a stronger moral compass than a subsequent president!" And I'm sure that even Trump voters are shocked at how slimy, amoral, incompetent, and immature this 71 year old billionaire is. Even if he didn't collude with Russia to influence the election (unlikely), Trump is an awful president. The only way to Make America Great Again is to vote this clown out of office.
