I just turned the news on, and there he is talking to pre-teen boys about a record-setting crowd, do they think the fake news will report on it, and did President Obama ever attend a Boy Scout rally. Good Lord.
Good grief. Talk about a man in love with the sound of his own voice. It reminds me of the old joke, "Enough about me. Let's talk about you. What do you think of me?"
Since OP didn't provide a link to what Trump actually said, I Googled it for myself and came up with the following from The Hill:
Quote:
President Trump drew a crowd of tens of thousands to a national gathering of Boy Scouts in West Virginia on Monday evening, where he hammered his political opponents and pressured Republicans in the Senate to repeal and replace ObamaCare...
There, Trump gleefully recounted his election victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
“What we did, in all fairness, is an unbelievable tribute to you and all of the other millions and millions of people that came out and voted [to] make America great again,” Trump said.
The legal voting age in the US is 18 years. Boy Scouts have until age 18 to work on their merit badges, Eagle Scout status, etc. From the Boy Scout website:
Merit badges, badges of rank, and Eagle Palms may be earned by a registered Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, or qualified Venturer or Sea Scout. He may earn these awards until his 18th birthday.
Glad to learn that Scouting now includes throwing presidential elections by underage voters. Bet they even have a merit badge for it these days.
