Why would Americans not want to find out what the Russians are up to, regardless of whether the investigation was run by Republicans or Democrats?
Those who are innocent and uninvolved in this matter have nothing to worry about.
That who are guilty might want to get their stories straight and hire some good attorneys, however.

It did not come up after, but it seems to have gotten new legs as people are trying to deflect from Trumps problems. So no, it was not kept quiet, people were writing about it.
As I understand it, this was about ownership in a mining company that already had foreign investors. No one handed a load or ore to anyone. We have a free market economy, and people around the world are allowed to invest. The sale of an economic interest in the company required the approval of several Federal government agencies and it was approved.
I have to wonder why conservative polemicists are so keen about regulating a business in this case, when their specific agenda has normally included deregulating.

Russian Meddling story has gone away for whom? Mainstream media?! Just because Trump gives the MSM so much to talk about, including twitter wars with a Gold Star widow, doesn't mean that the investigators aren't still doing their jobs.
