I advocate no gun registry in any way, shape, or form. And no gun control. Pro 2nd Amendment exactly as written: "shall not be infringed."

Um, OK. But being informed about what the law actually requires would be helpful for you when discussing the issue. No reason to give the anti-freedom fetishists any more ammunition.

Sure, as soon as I don't have to submit a 4473 to buy a gun from Cabela's.

No, I don't. Why do I have to submit a 4473 to buy a gun at Cabela's, if my right is supposedly not supposed to be infringed via the US Constitution?

You are changing your argument.

Your original claim is that all gun sales had to be accompanied by a 4473, and used gun sales at Cabelas to support your argument. Your claim is false. While gun sales at Cabelas do require a 4473, federal law doesn't require a dealer or a 4473 for private sales in any state. I can sell a gun on the sidewalk, in a Wal-Mart parking lot, or pretty much anywhere else, with no 4473 required.

Buy your guns from private individuals and avoid the 4473 if it is important to you.

Many STATES require all sales to have a 4473, and a NICS, or PICS background check. I my state ALL handguns sales must have a 4473, and background checks. NO private sales of handguns allowed.

The following states require a background, either through a dealer or law enforcement office:

California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
Maryland (handguns and assault weapons only)
Nevada
New York
Oregon
Pennsylvania (handguns only)
Rhode Island
Washington

11 out of 55 states is too many, but it isn't significant either. And the problem is easily solved Just live in a free state.

And for any that are thinking this is a "Gotcha" on what I have been posting, think again. Note the difference between state and Federal law. EVERYTHING I have posted on this subject is 100% perfectly true and accurate.
