Brazil, you can not own a gun there legally. They are considering knives as next on their list because of knife violence. Yet it's still the most gun-violent country behind Syria in the world.

Our neighbors would gladly supply weapons if we outlaw them. Matter of fact they'd be thrilled to do so. I wonder what we do after we ban guns and still have such a high death rate? We just raise violent people here. Its the mindset, not the weapon choice.

I would support a ban on armed security for all law makers that want to ban weapons.
They should lead by example.
If they see no need for Joe public to be armed, then they should have no problem giving up their protection by people with weapons. I would extent the ban to include anyone who publicly advocates for disarming the average citizen and employs armed security for their own protection.
Violation would be subject to mandatory five years in prison.

we don't live in the jungle or are at war- if you have a NEED to fire these-- go join the military/ security forces and help the soldiers out in the trenches.
What is the difference between an assault rifle and say a Ruger 1022? A Ruger mini-14 ranch rifle?
Thankfully our society isn't regulated based solely upon need. If that were the case people would be rationed based upon needs. 2 person family? 1 bedroom house. Car 2 passenger. food 4000 calories.
What is your job? Those will be the clothes you are issued.

^^^^^This. The elite will always have armed protection, but they want to disarm the average, law abiding citizen.

How the Nazis used gun control
In 1933, the ultimate extremist group, led by Adolf Hitler, seized power and used the records to identify, disarm, and attack political opponents and Jews. Constitutional rights were suspended, and mass searches for and seizures of guns and dissident publications ensued. Police revoked gun licenses of Social Democrats and others who were not “politically reliable.”
Sounds exactly like liberal democrats today.

Most also live in neighborhoods with walls keeping people out.

Finally, a new gun law that I can support.

I would think dealing with the factors that encourage people to buy guns. 15-25 million illegals and that does not encourage public safety. Enact a 3 strikes and your out law for repeat criminals.Arrest of anyone belonging to a criminal gang and deport all members of gangs like MS13.

Why does the military need them?
