And?

Yes, the rates in the safest parts of US are on par with the AVERAGE rates in the majority of European countries. Those are averages over whole populations and areas good, bad, and in between. Do you understand that?

I am sure he does, as do I. We have to address the inner city, Black, on Black violence which generates the vast majority of the murders by people using a gun. That and suicides where guns are used account for most deaths by people using a gun.
