But 99.9% of mass shooters aren't the 'thugs in the hood"......
right?
Can we start by maybe just making it harder for one Dylan Roof, one Paddock .......
Actually the majority of "Mass Shootings" do happen in the "hood" if you accept the 3 victim definition.
But we all know how Liberals change definitions to suit agenda's
Would it have made you feel any better if the LV shooter had filled his private plane with gas cans and crashed into the crowd, Or maybe filled a u-haul with fertilizer and diesel and set it off on the street next to the event?
Actually Congress could pass a law limiting gun ownership to say 3 or 5 guns per person. That would be entirely constitutional: the 2nd amendment says you can own guns, not an infinite number of them. If we had a license and registration system along with a gun quota, it would make it difficult for lone wolf nuts to amass large arsenals.
How is a large arsenal going to kill more people? The majority of mass shootings are done with 1 gun. Even this guy in Vegas could have done the same thing with 1 gun and a pile of magazines.
Here is a video of a guy shooting a 1,000 rounds in a row with an AK variant that can be purchased at a pawn shop or sporting goods store. The only pauses are to swap out the magazine.
Having a room full of scary black guns fitted with those evil bump stocks would be no more effective than one high quality magazine fed semiautomatic rifle like this one in the hands of someone with basic firearms knowledge.
Honestly, semiautomatic fire with a high-powered 30 caliber rifle like the one in the pic above would have probably injured less people, due to less rounds being sprayed in the initial stages of the shooting, but more people would have lost their lives in the end. This is because very few of the people that survived direct hits to the torso with the 5.56x45 rounds that the shooter was using (he did have a 30 caliber modified AR and an AK variant that were not used in the shooting) would have been as lucky had they been hit with a 7.62 Nato, which is literally a popular large game round. Add to this that the larger more powerful round would have still penetrated through multiple victims even at over 400 yards and also would have created far more devastating non-torso hits that would have resulted several more victims beading out before they could receive medical attention.
My point is that regardless of the gun laws that are passed, a determined psychopath is capable of a mass killing. This guy in Vegas had Ammonia nitrate found at his home. You ever heard of the Oklahoma city bombing? He also owned a jet. You ever heard of 9-11? He also owned a large diesel truck. Nice truck attack?
There is almost no way to stop a crazy attacker that's willing to lose their life.
It's not about use of force it's about deterrent. Do you think the NK people would be in the situation they are if they had a 2nd ammendment. More specifically, do you want Trump, his admin, and the republicans to have complete control over everybody? There is a reason the world has not had a nuclear war, it's the 2a on a large scale. Of course you have lunatics like kim jong just like you have lunatics like LV guy.
Deterrent? That didn't stop Waco or Ruby Ridge. And it according to most threads on this very forum, especially from 2009-2016, the government was stripping rights helter skelter and changing the very fabric of the nation. Yet, all those who believe in deterrence let it happen. So what's tipping point? When exactly do you take your country back?

RR
We'd then have to ban private planes, fertilizer, U-Haul trucks, gas and propane tanks, outdoor events, vans, etc.
There's another recent thread where a man was fired from his job for bringing watermelon to an event, and someone replied that we are running out of things to ban.
Paddock already broke numerous, most severely punishable laws we have. Laws don't stop someone who chooses to commit evil. I'm almost surprised that the left doesn't want to charge the man's corpse with the applicable crimes. We have a ban on evil acts already and he ignored them.
Honestly, South park makes fun of libs more than Cons. If you can't see that then you're either out of touch or you simply don't get the jokes. Yes, they go after Trump because the guy is literally comedy gold. I say this as someone that supports him. South Park also has devoted entire seasons to making fun of PC culture, gentrification, hipsters etc. They didn't go after Obama too much because the guy was pretty dry and didn'y provide too much fuel, but they laid into his supporters for the entire time.
The gun show has been planned for many months if not years and it has nothing to do with unlawful use of firearms and everything to do with law abiding citizens enjoying their Constitutional Right and hobby.
What SNL was doing was getting laughs at a tragedy where 50 people lost their lives. Do they do the same when a terrorist strikes and kills people? Vegas is an act of terrorism and there is nothing funny about it.
SNL seized their Lefty opportunity to push an anti gun agenda.
Why don't they make fun of the slaughter that happens in places like Detroit and Chicago on a weekly basis?
The funny part is these delicate liberal snowflakes calling others snowflakes.
