I didn't actually do anything that constitutes the accusation. My poll is optional, no one is forced to vote in it. And I never actually accused conservatives of anything. So try again hoss

Who knows what politicians want? They have complete control of the federal government and still can't get anything done.

Thanks, miu, for taking the common everyday assumption "survive on your own without help" and following it out to its logical conclusion. You're the type of person mid-19th century Britain would have absolutely loved - Irish potato famine, not pay a living wage to adults so they can afford a family and let their six year old children either starve. Me? I think it either stores up later trouble for the elites OR is a real talent destroyer. Lots of greats had absolutely wretched childhoods? Would you want them to keep working in coal mines starting at age six?

Self sufficiency can only take you so far. Otherwise why not declare your home, its lot, and all real estate you own and independent country?

I am childless by choice, and it does not bother me to help pay for public education. I benefited from it, most people I know benefited from it, and most of the people I go to for needed services benefited from it. The education of a child is about more than that one child, it is good for everyone who ever meets that child, directly or otherwise.
Definitely, Cat. If we simply shunned the weak and take a "let'em die of neglect" attitude, we'd find ourselves lacking in a lot of brilliant, talented people (doctors, scientists, engineers, IT workers; and even people who add a lot of non-economic value to our quality of life - authors, musicians, artists, etc.). While letting the "non-competitive" die of neglect may benefit you in the short run, in the long run, it'll bite your society in the ass. While it may not completely stop material, scientific, and cultural progress entirely, it'd sure inhibit it - and eventually Europe, the non-US Anglosphere, and maybe even Japan will zoom past us in a few generations. And all because a lot of Americans imply that Fight Club, UFC, WWE, etc. are the proper templates for economic and political theory. If anything, a "Fight Club" MMPHORG shoot'em-up video game model for competition is false, and would eventually turn the USA into Somaila, Afghanistan, or Syria - or even Honduras or northern Mexico.

Default Devisive Poll?

Very miss leading poll and sounds like the BS the DNC said during the 8 years Obama.

Most Americans do want to see the Federal Government follow the US Constitution and most Americans want a better life.

Liberals just need to participate in forming more bi lateral bills. Libs are just plain stick in the mud and do not even respect the office of the President.

And you think Trump does? With all his loudmouthed unpresidential behavior? If only Bernie were president now.

Human decency doesn't involve you forcing your beliefs on others when no ones rights have been violated.

How about you quit forcing your beliefs on others?
Obama was never my president. He was the president of the United States. I didn't vote for him and didn't support him.
