I was hearing about the Weinstein case, and then dug further and discovered there's a big pedophile problem among-st the world's powerful and in Hollywood in general which is one reason why young actors sometimes turn out to be so warped. They are invited to these "parties" where they are drugged up and "groomed" by the directors, VPs, and others... It confirms to me that they are a bunch of hypocrites. They complain that Trump made some comment about a woman one time meanwhile they are wholesale trying to get young women to have sex with them to get movie roles and the like, and some of them really like the young boys as well, probably part of the reason they are defending LGBTQ so much, since a lot of people who grow up to be like this were abused as children. No sense of ethics at all.. they play the game to win, period. For what it's worth this isn't limited to lefties.. any time a group of people, the "good ole boys club" get close knit, they will defend each other's actions, though it's easier when you have tens of millions to billions of dollars and power.

Still, it seems like the left cares more about words than actions. They also seem to be into screaming for "more laws" meanwhile giving offenders who violate the existing laws a slap on the wrist, plus their blatant hypocrisy about only targeting people on the right and ignoring actions from people who are lefties.

There are sexual deviants in all political affiliations.. but people with money and power can get away with it for a long time, including the pedophile types.

Yawn, not the topic of the thread at all, and guys like Weinstein don't represent all liberals

Not forcing any belief at all, just stating a simple, uncomfortable fact. FWIW, I am, as my screen name suggests, a libertarian of the voluntaryist variety. Not one President in my adult life has been someone I voted for, but my passport has me defined as an American citizen, and regardless of which moron occupies that office, I resign myself to the sad fact that is indeed the person who represents me as the top dog in the Executive branch.

Never been a fan of the two headed Tyranny Party, nor anyone they nominate to run their little circus of graft, racketeering and corruption, but the rules and definitions being what they are means that I as the citizen am represented by President Whoever. Thus, whoever occupies that office is my President.

Simple matter of defining things like "citizen" and "representation" and all.

I'm in the exact same boat as you are on this post.
However, you are forcing your beliefs on others. Wanting them to proclaim whomever is in the white house is their president. Take your thought process to the next level. I already explained to you, in simple terms, what it means to me and quite a few others when we say, "he's not my president", "he's not my guy". The right did it too obama and now the left does it to trump. I'm doing it too both. Words have meaning and the reasons behind that are the value of the statement.

Well Bernie is not the president and he's never going to be the president.

So how about dealing with reality in a constructive way instead of whining?

What Democrats need to realize is if they could stop freaking out about Trump winning the election and put forth some actual bipartisan solutions, Trump would probably play ball and sign them.

But your too worried about Russia and what exactly he meant in his latest tweet to come to grips with the realization that working across the aisle is really your best shot right now.

I added the poll right away, it wouldn't let me choose my options until I posted the thread though

Nope, not whining. Just making an observation. At any rate, explain to me how whining is deserving of disrespect? Were I to get really low, I'd comment about how people are whining about cities removing Confederata. But I won't, because I don't believe whining is a trait worthy of stigma. But at any rate "whining" accusations (true or not) are irrelevant because they make the reaction the issue and not the substance.

OK, how about a bipartisan solution that still adheres the US to the Paris climate accord? How about a solution that trains coal miners into manufacturing and maintenance of solar panels and other non-carbon energy sources? How about one that includes a freeze on the middle class tax rates but raises the capital gains tax on all non-retirement investments over $1 million, adjusted annually for inflation. How about Trump sincerely apologizing for his shockingly poor demeanor during the campaign and personal verbal televised apologies to everyone he demeaned for no reason than to appeal to his base? I'm not holding my breath about any of these, though.

Russia is using a troll farm to influence Western elections. There's one in St. Petersburg. The building's location is practically an open secret. What about that anti-virus software that hacks into our classified files?
