Apparently it’s not working, since the USA is the most conservative of the 1st world countries.
Well, we've had a constant move to the LEFT for the past fifty plus years starting with the Great Society under LBJ. Since then our Media, government, and Educational system have been on a crusade to destroy traditional America, and what made us exceptional, and replace it with a progressive/socialist environment. We may still be largely a center/right country, but as the Indoctrination sets in, and our demographics change we are in for a challenge. Why do you think the LEfT wants Open Borders?
If you ever wanted a way to control the beasts of this country TV was the solution.
If this nation ever lost the internet, TV and phone access America would be burnt to the grown in about 36 hours.
It's difficult to make the jump in reasoning that you have, to imagine your last prediction occurring. It doesn't seem that your point is any more accurate than your spelling and grammar. But when you evaluate television as a whole, be aware that PBS is a part of that, with programs such as Nova, Nature and Frontline. Their National News Hour is the best and thwarts would-be dictators who attempt to twist the country to serve their own purposes, simply by exposing the truth. When right-wing demagogues call for the defunding and destruction of PBS, you know that it's doing its job very well.
I'd say AM radio really did the job if you want to be truthful about it....
But the interweb amplified it - turns out most beasts are unable to do their basic homework and know what is true and what is not.....which brings us to....
Poor education and poor parenting and the poor individual choices made after that destroyed anything we had in terms of possibilities of moving forward.

The US move to the Left of the political spectrum certainly goes back further than LBJ. I'd say @ least since the US Civil War in the 1860s CE - even if ending slavery wasn't the prime objective @ the start.
Can anyone be on a crusade to destroy traditional America? Recall that the original Crusade was to free the Holy Land from the Saracens - & so you've turned the entire phrase upside down. Better to switch metaphors, I don't think this one can be salvaged for the use you intend for it. (& I assume that by America, you mean the US, yes?) Also, a crusader is by definition doing God's work - or @ least that's his or her understanding. Again, by using the word, you're implying very lofty motivations for the crusaders.
Does the LEfT want Open Borders? I've never seen a direct quote on that - Do you have one you can link to?
Nope, Republicans and Trump's cult have destroyed the American Dream. This country is pretty crappy by 1st world standards now.
