For those who aren't aware. Economic growth is tax neutral. Just look at the history of US economic growth. In fact, higher growth periods had higher marginal taxes than lower. Since the Bush tax cuts, growth hasn't breached 2%.
Quite true. The funny thing is, the conservatives here like to idealize the 1950's, but in the 50's the corporate tax rate was over 50%, and in general taxes in the 50's where a little bit higher than they are now.
I'm beginning to get flashbacks from the outrage on my side concerning this tax bill. The world isn't going to end and the economy isn't going to implode. I'm not in favor of this tax cut, but calm down.
At the same time, fellow tax bill supporters, please do not pass such a significant bill causing significant impact to everyone in the country by snubbing your nose and basically giving the finger to the Congresspeople who do not support it, like they did with the ACA.
As I said in another thread, having it pass is fine with me. After a year or two when it's apparent it has little or no effect on the economy and we continue to get, like, 2% GDP growth, same as the last several years, then it'll be a great lesson that tax cuts do little or nothing to help the economy.
well time will tell....
one question though.....
IF, and yes its a big IF...If it does work, and does boost the economy....will you then admit it?...or will you dismiss it???
I would bet you do not realize how that reaction actually makes you look, trump has the same disconnection, that should make you feel even more special.
Free rides to the airport for all liberals promising to leave the country over the new tax plan.
